Honestly, I would do that.

Calgary will draft Ekblad if they get the chance, not Sam Reinhart. Ekblad is the best player in this draft, the rankings are incorrect in my opinion.

You're half right, Ek is here to entertain, that's about it, most if not all of his so called "rumors" are stuff he just makes based on what he hears from twitter, TSN etc.. The one person is right, check his accuracy it's pretty pathetic. But using the term "rumors" helps him hide behind the accuracy by calling it just a rumor.

Look up PJ Stock fooling Eklund and you'll get a kick out of it. IF EK was so connected in the NHL why did they drop him like a bad habit from NHL Home Ice on Satellite? take a guess... I remember the one year on the eve of trade deadline he came out and I'm paraphrasing .. " It's a done deal, Brian Campbell is going to Montreal, don't expect him to play tonight..." Not only did Campbell play that night, he got traded to San Jose.. so yeah.. you are right, he is here for entertainment that's about it, anyone with half a brain isn't going to Ek to get real information.

Well on the positive side good job confusing people on a Toronto/Calgary connection. Honestly doesn't seem like any sort of fit. Considering they are in rebuild mode is there any good young players that Calgary even wants to move? I wouldn't say there isn't anyone on Calgary the Leafs wouldn't consider trading for, but more of a question of guys they'd want to let go of.

Goes to show when it comes to the Flyers Eklund can actually be rational when it comes to trade rumors. Flyers playing better and little reason to trade out B.Schenn right now. Though I don't care to trade Gardiner period so that's just me.

The Flames have a bunch of young prospects, but you shouldnt pass up the opportunity to add higher leveled young players when you can.

Me too. Potter would probably just be a plug but I have always liked Hemsky. He would be a good compliment for our young kids... OUR young kids.

The media was jumping on Yak, most fans still like him and he is on a hot streak now.

But Matthias and Kulikov is no where near enough for Yak.

If I recall the untouchables were Goc, Gudbranson, Huberdeau, Barkov, and Bjugstad. I don't see Yak going to florida without one or two of those pieces coming back. I think both GM's hang up the phone.

Hemsky and Gagner for Matthias, Skille and Kulikov would be decent IMO.

Also I wouldn't automatically assume that the Flames pick will be #1 overall. Bottom 5 team, yes, probably but no guarantee of being in the bottom 3, I would say

Skille plays in Columbus now. But We have plenty of Skille's in the system at this point. I'd take Ales and Sam for sure. Make it interesting and throw in a young d-man and we can send you Fleischman as well.

Normally I'd agree with you, but Ekblad isn't a regular defenceman, and would immediately make the team that drafted him better. The kid has always been ready for the next step up, several years before a normal player would be. Both are home runs, but generational talent D-men are impossible to find, and 2015 will have plenty of stud Fwds. Seth dropping to fourth was remarkable but it will not happen again, Ekblad will have taken over number one in rankings come april.
