Why would Nonis/Carlyle look to trade Jake at this point in time? He's been getting better every single game, and is second to only Dion in ice time for Dmen this season.

He will find his stride and soon be at the form he was in the playoffs last year, when he was arguably the best player on the ice for us.

I hear/understand the discussion around Morgan providing a similar skill set with a higher ceiling, but he's playing very sheltered minutes against weaker opponents. He isn't ready to step into a larger role yet.
