You know what's funny? The fact that not one Eastern team would make the playoffs in the West today. - whipper334

He blamed him and than loved him in the same post..
Sounds like a married couple.. - Fruitcakenipple
I didn't blame him guys.. just said a goal was caused by being out skated, and pointed out I would have preferred Rielly on the ice instead.
Players LIKE fraser are great... would just been good if fraser could actually skate this season... something that seems unlikely with this recurring knee issue |

Ok I guess he played about 3 minutes on Saturday but hasn't been in the line up since.
Seems strange to blame a guy that isn't even playing... - Iggysbff
Was on the ice for one goal against on Friday, I assume that's what he's talking about. But, you can take the best defensive Dmen in the game, and find a play you don't like what they did. I'm not saying he's great, he's a decent, tough, defensive dman. All I'm really trying to say is they need a guy like him more than they need guys like Rielly/Gardiner right now. Because the Leafs D is heavily skewed towards having too many offensive Dmen. Rielly has some serious promise, but right now, he needs to work on his defensive game, because it's not even at an NHL level, and that's why he's sitting. If the Leafs didn't have Franson, Phaneuf, Gardiner, already in the lineup, they might need more offense, and it might make more sense to overlook his defensive deficiencies, but they have those guys, and they're all better defensively at this poitn in time. |

Most of the above I totally agree with... Esp needing a good stay at home Dman. But he has to be able to skate. The goal had nothing to do with being out of position, if you were watching the way Fraser skated that game he could barely make more than 3-4 strides in a row because of the injury, thats what caused him to fall behind and the goal to be scored. If he was 100% healthy, he would be the perfect option on our 3rd pairing |

oh yeah! I saw the other day they were laughing that some guy on HF was posting about some Leafs fan including Mason Raymond in a trade for Chris Tanev. Said something like "Raymond, Kulemin, and a pick/prospect for Tanev". Then laughs at that.
Really? I wouldn't trade Kulemin OR a pick/prospect straight up for Tanev. Who the hell wants their depth junk????? in fairness it was one of their posters who has a tendency to be "over-optimistic" about his own team. - prock

Probably because most players nowadays are such lousy shooters. Here in Minny, we take a shot every time our play-by-play says "shot just wide of the net". 4 fatalities alone this year |

The NHL's average even strength save percentage is .923. Harding, Reimer and Rask lead the NHL at .956, .953 and .952.

@mirtle
Even strength save percentage is considered better measure (and more sustainable) in smaller sample sizes. Says good things about Reimer. |
