Its a good time, too cold outside to go get mix, sweet enough just drink it straight.

Sidenote, Calgarys restaurants are all pretentious now, cant go out and order a normal drink anymore, its all hand crafted cocktails and bourbon lists. Learned to love it

exactly! Like Scotch, just not as peaty/smokey... a bit more molasses/burnt caramel flavor over the peaty flavor of scotch

Im not into Bourbon. Rye is where its at. Crown is good and Wisers. But for 100% rye there is no comparison. Smooth and silky Alberta Springs. The only 100% rye out there....

Personally I would just rather go to the Ship & Anchor and lose all track of time in that dark and dingey bar
