Exactly how I looked after the fourth goal.

My 3 stars:
1. wayne Simmonds: was simply a monster tonight

2. Matt Read: His new contract is starting to look like a bargain

3. Steve Mason: Absolutely bailed them out for much of the 2nd and the 3rd. Far and away the team MVP so far

A lot of people like to rip on Holmgren, and sometimes for good reason, but the trade for Mason is starting to look like one of the more one sided trades I've ever seen in my life. The dude still hasn't given up more than 2 goals in any of his starts for the Flyers.

It was a shrewd move. Columbus knew they had to move him and there was a chance he would become very good. He wasn't going to be good for Columbus and they knew that.

Similar to Bob in that regard. Flyers knew Bob may become very good but there was no place for a $2M behind Bryz for 8 years.

I know it is easy to feel good right now but this honestly has 3 lines that can generate offense.

I saw , I am in no way comparing him, Foppa like elements from Couturier the last few games..the play where he braces for a coming hit and drops the defender while keeping the puck..

Giroux is slowly on his march to where I thought he would be all along which is a point per game player.

Read + Couturier + Downie is their best line.

Im not sure what to do with myself, this far into the season and I dont ever think about goal tending.

One month ago, on October 23rd, the Flyers were limping along at 1-7. Tonight they are 10-10-2.

It was tough for me to even type that.. Forsberg is by far my favorite player ever but those plays where Coots did what I said it was easy to see elements of 21.

Now it's time for one of the most ridiculous stretches I've ever seen in a schedule over the next month and a half. If we finish slightly above .500 on this stretch I think we'll be good over the final half of the season.

I found it amazing how often the Couturier line finished shifts in the offensive zone despite being matched up against Tavares all night.

Will any Dman from 2013 draft class make it? For Canada
- PhillySportsGuy

These will have a chance Nurse, Morrissey, & Pulock but with Canada they don't really care if you are a top pick they take this event very serious.

Thats why they really need to try hard and get the next 3 games. Fla, TB without Stamkos and Winnipeg at home at 11:30am. That game will feel like the crack of dawn for the Jets.

They've been starting 30% in the offensive zone and finishing there 65-70% every game for the past week to ten days....it's been dominant

Not trying to start a poopstorm, but in your opinion (since you watch quite a bit of junior hockey) how would you rate the top 8 dmen from the 2013 draft class?

I know. It started from the very beginning of the game. They took their first two shifts against Tavares and just dominated that line. I can only remember the end of the 2nd period as a time when the Tavares line really took it to the Couturier line.

Morin may take longer to develop than any of them
