I hope Danny finds a way to work that scenario in for the next season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia".

sooo many reasons why they needed a much better effort last night. i could take a split in fla and now they have have to beat the 15 win lightning since you failed to beat the 6 win (sorry now-7 win) panthers. geez i never get tired of philly teams losing to teams they are better than. not saying they can't beat tb but now they almost have to. and you just know that winnipeg will give us fits on friday.

I heard that the great mid-80's Oilers teams sometimes lost games to inferior teams. Crazy, I know, but that's the rumor.

let me put that rumor to rest:

Thu, Dec 13, 1984
Edmonton Oilers 2 @ Los Angeles Kings 7

interestingly enough, the Oilers first loss of the season was at the hands of the Flyers, 7-5, on November 11 of all dates, exactly 1 year to the day before Pelle's official death.

I'm gonna make what I feel could be a very unpopular post.

I hate Claude Giroux's game. I hate it! I hated his game last season and I hate it this season. Now, this isn't to say I hate Claude Giroux, this isn't the case at all.

I feel that Giroux takes on the weight of the team on his shoulders. He gets too fancy, he forces too many passes and forces too many shots. Nothing has been free flowing for him since his 93 point season before earning the "C". An even bigger problem I feel is the fact the Flyers can't take it away because I feel that could also hurt his game. I don't wanna take anything away from the Panthers but I feel the Flyers feed off of Giroux. Giroux is the center of everything like a quarterback on a football team. If he doesn't play well and if he isn't trying too hard, the team is fine. The third line has been better than any other line we've probably seen all season. That might not be a good thing for what lies ahead. We are two months in. We need free flowing Claude Giroux again.

I was just wondering what the latest update on him was so when I found something pretty recent I thought I'd post it.

I try to keep his story fresh in my son's mind so that he protects himself and knows what the repercussions are if he plays out of control. I wouldn't ever want to see him on either end of that hit.

Then you need to find him a Dynamic winger, like he had with Jagr. Someone that can hold onto the puck and draw 2 defenders to them. This willl open up the passing lanes for Claude to make those low percentage passes and amazing dekes work. Right now the entire league know to NOT colapse on Giroux, but to clog his passing lanes, and keep him from in front of the net.

He's just saying that teams will lose. It happens. No reason to get up tight.

This team was bound to send a clunker out. Unfortunately it was against a winnable team.

As long as it doesn't uncover old habits, I'm fine with the occasional loss.

Only occasionally

so following that reasoning, every comment that anyone makes here can be refuted by finding an example from anywhere in hockey history?
"i really don't like the way _______ is playing right now"
"i hear that guy lafleur had a bad game once in a while too"

what good is that?
just plain annoying

Come on man don't take it so seriously....I read it as a tongue in cheek comment with no mal-intent. Just a way to make a point.

Sure, with your reasoning I guess that's right. But that's not the point here, and nobody does that.
