You make a deal like that if said player will put you over the top to be a cup favorite for the next year or two.

I would rather play Mez, or one of the other cheaper FA alternatives then of signed Streit for what he signed for. I'm not saying Streit is bad. He is what he is. But what his isn't; 5.25 million player for the next 5 years.

Ouch. I realize I see every single flaw he has -- which a lot of us do, about certain players -- but there isn't a single scenario out there that makes me want to see Andrej Meszaros on the ice again.

If he can resurrect his career elsewhere, great. But I really do think he's done, and even if Mark Streit weren't here, I'd still rather play just about anyone other than Meszaros.

theres a code in fighting, rinaldo broke it. so vinny gave the flyers back what they dished out, that's all that happened...rinaldo was overly aggressive and it was a dirty fight at the end, everything before it (including crombeen getting his ass whooped) was completely fair, once a guy is knocked out on the ice why keep throwing punches?

it doesn't matter it was last year, but that's why I think rinaldo is dirty..people asked me why I HATE him, that's why...sure hes an agitator and bugged me to begin with, but that's why I hate him, throwing punches on a guy that didn't even know he was falling he was so (frank)ed up .. and kept delivering the whole way down. watch the fight and youll be ashamed your defending that fight

I think what people are assuming is that for the last 3-4 years... Tampa has relied way too heavily on Stamkos and St.Louis to provide offense. Biggest reason they havent made the playoffs in awhile. So Im sure people are exaggerating a bit but yes, I also believe Tampa isnt a very deep team, so far they have gotten some offense from other lines but its isnt something that can be relied on because these players are practically unknown. Young team that is getting better. Dont get too excited... Last season they started 6-0-0 and you know the rest.
