Its an 82 game season. Plenty of teams have looked good after 25-30 games and then faded over the long haul and missed the playoffs. If Stamkos was healthy perhaps they're a playoff team, but without him for much of the remainder of the year, I just don't see it.

This is a really good test for the Flyers. The Lightning aren't going to give them two points, and I think this game will give us a feel on just how mentally tough this team is.

Still... I find your lack of faith disturbing.

I think going forward the two problems this team will have are giving a full 3 periods of work and the immobility of the blue line. One the players themselves can address and the other the front office has to get right at some point. The goaltending has been a godsend. Giroux seems to have found his scoring touch hopefully he maintains it and doesn't revert to perimeter Pete. A deadline deal for another dman looks like the thing this year, if they're not numerically out of it.

Happy birthday grace ... I turned 21 and stopped aging... I've been that way for many years... My wife gets mad cause she keeps getting older.

Unless there's an injury, I don't think he ever gets back in the lineup. By the trade deadline, the Flyers will have already paid 75% of his actual salary, at that point he will likely be dealt for a mid round pick or worst case, future considerations.
