Now that is just a lazy goal to give up.
Voracek and Giroux both had a shot and just stopped skating. |

Giroux has really failed to win me over in thinking he's the right choice as captain... Nvm that atrocious contract homer gave him. Kid has talent but he's grossly overhyped. |

skate hard and attack the flyers all over the ice is an automatic recipe for success. they have no answer for it. |

You know, I have ripped his ass this year, but I have to give Hartnell credit tonight.
He has been good, and at least tried to boost them with dropping the gloves/getting nasty in the corner.
Voracek and G has been dissapointing. Lots of flash, but you need to make it count. |

Well on their way to yet another wussy 2 goal or less poop show. Rinse (frank)ing repeat. Another brain dead stick infraction. |

Because they have no talent. At some point the players are just a rotten mix. The top two scoring lines are virtual invisible for two periods every game. |

The Captain thing was rushed in the first place. Management learned nothing from the Richards fiasco. It was just another great way to market the team and earn money.
I wouldnt go as far as saying he is the next Hemsky, but he seems worn down after a few years of playing against the other teams top defenders. I am all about secondary scoring, and do believe in Giroux, but he needs to be much better.
I do think that "C", and the pressure put on the kid was too much, too soon. At the same time, its basically always true that if you shutdown or smother Giroux your chances of winning go way up. Watch the PP in particular. Its rediculous how often they have Giroux run it, and the whole league knows this. |

I cant figure it out with Giroux.
I never really thought Voracek was as good as his hot streaks indicated, but when you see guys like Simmonds, or Coots outplaying #28 for the whole game that isnt acceptabke.
He needs to be better. I stand by the notion that its too much pressure too soon, and the wrist/hand injuries over the last few years have hurt him. |

I agree with this but question your disturbing lack of a Matt Carle reference. |

Of course the Chinese fire drill that led to the Lightning first goal 3 players on the ice. Rosehill, Rinaldo, and L. Schenn. Useless wastes of oxygen. |

I think the thing with Giroux is the same as it was with Richards/Carter.
They are good players but not on the level of say Toews. One of the issues with the team, too many secondary pieces. From top to bottom.
Its only 2 goals (frank). 20 minutes left, they can easily take this game even in regulation. That puck-handling is just horrific though to watch. |
