Due to injuries this is what the lines will look like for Tampa:
Brown-Filppula-St Louis (20g, 24a combined)
- Filppula is crazy with the puck and defenders cannot get it from his stick, he also has great vision and is a pass first guy. St Louis is well St Louis. Brown is on this line because of injuries, he is very fast, forechecks, gets in the dirty areas and will shot on goal whenever he has a chance.
Kucherov-Killorn-Purcell (14g, 18a combined)
- Kucherov is finds open ice and has a Stamkos Jr type of shot but this is only his second game but he had 13g, 11a in 17 games in the AHL. Killorn is our most underrated player - he does everything good is a good passer and will shoot the puck but is playing second line center due to Stamkos injury putting Filppula on the top line. Purcell is frustrating for us Bolts fans - all the talent in the world its whether or not he shows up mentally for the game.
Palat-Johnson-Panik (9g, 18a combined)
- This is our awesome all rookie line, Palat beat out the likes of Kucherov, Connolly and Drouin to make the team, he plays a complete game sound in all areas very fast. Johnson is a great 3rd line center, high FO% and very fast plays both ways good. Panik is probably the best of the three but he like Purcell depends on if he mentally shows up. This line has played Coopers system for 3 years so they know what he wants.
Crombeen-Thompson-Tyrell (1g, 5a combined)
- This is our checking line, Thompson and Crombeen are very good in their roles, this is Tyrell's first game this season due to injuries.
With all that said, the Bolts are a very fast team and play what most consider a west coast style of play. If you can be physical with them you can compete with them but if the Flyers can't keep up it will be a long night. They are not a one line team and have depth scoring through their first three lines.
Now if someone would kindly tell me about your 4 forward lines so I know what to expect.
Thanks, should be a good game. Vinny will be cheered when he gets his ceremony and takes the ice but its all Bolts after that.
so, did that lightning fan ever tell us about the lines? - -davies-

well ive learned on this site pretty quick that if you mention any good things about your team you better be ready to get poop on , that's all
I just didn't agree when he said we only have 1 good line, and I told him he is in for a surprise..
I could give you all a scouting report on our 4 lines and how solid they are but im just gonna get bashed and get called a homer |

Flyers tend to struggle against fast, puck-possession teams... looking forward to getting a gander at Kucherov and Sustr.... and who will lay the bigger hit(s), Gudas or Rinaldo... and being reminded first-hand just how much better Matt Carle is than Mark Streit. |

Some of us play nice. I mean, sure, I'm a richard, but some people here will offer real hockey talk. Anyways, I was just asking because I haven't watched the Lightning at all this year. |

Due to injuries this is what the lines will look like for Tampa:
- stammerman Ya, I was looking at your lineup and thinking about how generally weak it looked (to me). Then I realized that I only think it's weak because I don't know much about the players in it, which I suspect is why a lot of people downplay it. This line of thinking is how teams get underestimated, and why we lose 3-1 to teams like Florida. Obviously you guys needed more players than Stamkos to get as high in the rankings as you are.

Haha theres not too many that do, but if you watch the lightning, the key to win is to outhit them and make them cause turnovers breaking out...they are AWFUL at that
if the pressure is on the D all night and we cant break out we (frank)ing lose 5-0 |

Matt Carle is incapable of turning the puck over. Not to mention a silverback gorilla on a pair of blades couldn't muscle him off the puck. |

well if he makes his pass to the winger on the boards at the hashmark and they turn it over cause of the pressure and it turns into a 2-1 then carle is (frank)ed
its been seen in the past and this year too, when the lightning get pressured to break out they cough up the puck big time, turnovers at our own blueline on the breakout was a huge weakness last year and is WAY better this year, but there have been games.. |

I, too, would like a peek at Kucherov....I have seen the Lightning play once this season and once in the preseason, so I didn't want to get into the discussion about who is or isn't good. They are fast, though.
I know I'll never convince you, but Mark Streit's fine. He has his flaws, same as Carle did. Once our defense is a bit stronger, I'm still willing to bet you won't notice him nearly as much as you do now.
I do believe the Flyers have options to make the defense stronger, to the point where Streit is on the third pair and the 2nd PP unit, which is where he will be most effective. I don't think he's been awful, or great, on the second pair. There have been times when he has been exposed, but over 22 games, they all have been. |

I will say this, if the Flyers are going to fight the Lightning we only have one of our fighters playing in the game. Punching Bag Crombeen. Our other fighters are Malone, Gudas, Aulie, and Labrie who are all out.
Prediction is Crombeen becomes a punching bag to say Rinaldo and that's its for the fights because the only other guy that will fight playing tonight for the Bolts is Hedman and they can't risk losing him for 5 plus minutes. |
