I'd call Sather right now and offer Luke Schenn for Del Zotto, straight up. Fills needs for both teams, despite the divisional rivalry.
For Orlov, it'd probably take a package of Cousins and another prospect, maybe Hagg or Gostisbehere. - Jsaquella
Is Luke Schenn a right handed shot? Rangers need more of those on D |

After last night surprised scratch, Del Zotto is definitely on the way out. Although I doubt the Rangers and Flyers trade, I wouldn't mind that trade off. The Rangers could use some toughness on D and not sure if McIlrath is ready yet. Del Zotto is still a good d man, he is just playing out of position on the right side as McDonagh, Staal, and John Moore are ahead of him on the depth chart as the left d men. He would help the mobility and puck movement on the Flyers D. |

Have they ever been trading partners?
Moore looks to be the steal in the Gaborik trade, I love his game. |

Well there was that Eric Lindros trade
Yea Moore is still a bit raw but you can see the potential. He can really skate. Great pickup in that deal.
What is up with your 11:30am game tomorrow. That just seems cruel for tailgating reasons |

Slow starts have only really been an issue for the last few games but it's been three games in a row now and it needs to end. Over the season as a whole, first periods have been the best ones for the Flyers. I think the team defense on the whole has been improved this year but there are still slip ups.
In terms of a major trade, I don't know what's been out there for the Flyers. Like many teams leaguewide, they are really hamstrung by the cap ceiling this year and have been operating on LTIR allowance with zero bankable space. - bmeltzer
don't you know? the flyers don't have a cap problem. they can make any move they want. pure choice, no force, and whatever they do will because they wanted to. |

Yea, to name a few, there was...
Danny Syvret for Kris Newbury.
Vladimir Malakhov for a 2nd Rounder - which later turned out to be Ondrej Pavelec.
Kjell Samuelsson for Bob Froese
1st round pick(Ken Linseman) for Freddy Shero |

Gustafsson had a horrible game. It seemed like every time I saw him on the ice he turned the puck over. |

It's really a need for need trade between the two teams, and probably a fair exchange, to boot. |

his game is flat and if you add last year's start to this years start that is 2/3 of a season of pretty below average play. not what you would expect from a guy who was just given $8 mil/yr.
i would have hated to see that game if stamkos was in there
edit: i wouldn't care about his dogging it at all if he would finish his chances, like the open look in the slot he shot right into lindback - hogweed
No disrespect or anything, but it it his fault the organization rushed him? Just another good poster boy to market? Overrated him, and put too much pressure on the kid too soon to carry the team?
Giroux isnt the first player this has happened to. |

Its not a bad deal. Im personally on the Yandle train. With the cap going up, that contract will be reasonable and last night showed me how desperately they need a guy who can skate the puck up, or transition creatively.
The closest thing to that player in the system is Ghost. As long as they are able to keep Coots/Voracek/Giroux, I look to make a deal. |

Few rumblings out of Toronto that Carlyle may be on the hot seat. Another team to consider out West is Vancouver. If they underachieve again this year, changes will be coming. Some nice pieces on D out there. |

Bill! When are you going to tell me where you live down here! Are you in Coppell? I wear my Flyers stuff at the Coppell Diner off of Denton Tap and the ladies there tell me they have a regular who's a Flyer diehard. Flyer's fans aren't common down here. - Boyer83
I live near Tyler but in Dallas frequently. |

Anyway Nashville would do Weber for G straight up or do the Flyers have to add a lot to that deal? |

Irrelevant, honestly. The Flyers trading Giroux is like the Penguins trading Crosby. It's not going to happen.
"But even Gretzky was traded!!1!"
Yeah, because the team was going bankrupt. |

G isn't close to Crosby. If I'm the Flyers I do it in a heartbeat, but I suspect Nashville would want a lot more. |
