All have been on short handed, Oshawa has the #1 PK unit. |

Anthony Mantha taken 9 spots after Morin now has 30 goals in 28 games and 62 points.
He was taken by the Red Wings - ob18
Hoping Morin pans out but ugh, what a stretch of a pick. |

It wasn't really that much of a stretch, wouldn't have been my choice but I like how he has progressed as this season has gone on.
Keep in mind Laughton was ranked in the 40's I think by ISS when they took him at #20, trust the scouting |

2nd period ended and 2 players got into it one of them being their leading scorer DeLuca & I'd guess Morin wasn't happy the other player wouldn't stop. - ob18

and the re-ranking list him at 12 now. I seem to recall THN has Richards and G as second rounders altho I think TSN had G at the exact spot he was selected. not sure about ISS |

Just goes to show you we have to trust the scouting, the Flyers seem to be solid at selecting in the 1st round it's after that they seem to fall apart. |

I hope, the cost of landing the kind of D-man they need is very high. Time would be better spent keeping the picks & developing players.
Let the system become a area of strength. |

I thought Hagg was a fantastic 2nd round choice. My knowledge doesn't go into depth regarding our past 2nd round picks. I'm sure you know more about them than me. Would you say Hagg is one of, if not the, most promising 2nd round pick we've made in recent memory? I know Stolarz is shaping up nicely so far, too. |

Not an Eagles fan so not enjoying that lol but every point you made is pretty accurate. I would also have to say that the lack of speed is KILLING this team. This system would be much better with great skaters. Simmonds seems to have found a new gear when it comes to his skating (if only his hand eye coordination could match his speed lol) - justahockeyguy2
Coots started slow. Matt Read has been the highlight over Couts. |

They both are at least more promising than our last 2nd rounder to play in the NHL. Any guesses as to who that was? |

I would. Some had him going late in the first. I was amazed that he kept getting passed by. |

With Morin, Hagg, Alt and Ghost in the fold, I'm pretty optimistic bout the long term future of the Flyers D. The trick will be getting thru the next couple seasons til some of these kids are ready. |
