Fortunately, as a third rounder, rather than the third overall pick, the Flyers can be patient with Gostisbehere, and let him get his time in at the AHL level and blossom as an all around player, rather than rush him in and force the development at the NHL level, which happened to Johnson.

Agreed. He will most likely need at least one full AHL year. I'm not saying he's another JJ, just that he's SO MUCH better than everyone that he is almost like a rover out there. They just need to reel him in a little bit while not killing his offense.

That said, he wasn't a liability at all in the WJC last year (aside from his 1-game suspension), so I think that he's got a shot to be, like was said, somewhere between a 3rd pairing guy with some offensive punch (think this year's Streit but faster) and a speedier, slightly less talented defensively Timonen. One thing is for sure though; dude's got a cannon.

Depends. Wild are a very underrated team. They've been down since Parise went out. Depends on how their goalie plays and whether they can scratch of a few goals. I think it ends up a 4-2 game, just not sure which team gets the 4 and which gets the 2.

Huge opportunity tonight for the Flyers. The Flyers are riding a high of a two game winning streak and have an opportunity to finally pull above 500. for the first time this season. The Wild were hot going back to like a week and a half ago but they he a few injuries and as a result they've been lose. At the same time, they're a really strong home team. Tonight should be interesting.
