The Leafs are struggling, so linking Phaneuf to the Olympic team isn't all that trendy these days, even for Dreger.

Bad news. My nephew is in a tournament in Lake Placid this week. So my brother is driving to Montreal Thursday for the game.

BTW - you think Price again tomorrow and Budaj Thursday? Budaj beat the Bruins last season.

That's the logical move for sure. But you never know.

Could be. But he played Budaj against the Bruins last season and he won.

Cuz Price is playing better. An incumbent from four years ago? I don't see it that way. Perhaps he gets an invite and chance to get the job as the incumbent, just like Brodeur last time. But unlike last time, if Price is playing that much better, it's his job to lose IMO.
- hscesq

That's why I think Lou is the incumbent because of what they did with Brodeur last year, could be wrong has happened once or twice before.

Four years ago, Luongo wasn't head and shoulders better than Brodeur going in. Price keeps this up, it shouldn't be an issue.

That's what I'm wondering. He's had great season start before.

Hopefully this is the year where he finds consistency.

I don't expect 1.56 and .952 for the entire season. But he's been solid all year. If you saw the piece with Waite on HNIC this past weekend, things seem different for him this season.

Thing is, the Habs haven't really relied on him to steal games. Last night, they needed him and he delivered. No way they get that win without him.

Well, if the net was empty, for sure the Devils score more goals.

They really haven't had any controversy yet this year. i could see that changing on Thurs. night though. MTLs a tough town to mature in but it looks like Price maybe getting there.

Depends how much diving the Habs do. For sure the Bruins will play a perfect, classy and proper game.
