They really didn't name an interim for his role with the Flyers-Scott is taking over his position with Comcas-Spectacor, not with the Flyers. Snider will be assuming most of his duties, with Shawn Tilger adding more to his plate for now, as far as the Flyers are concerned.

There's no good reason to think that this decision was Comcast's at all, from the reaction and the lack of a successor ready to step in immediately.

I agree, mostly because I remember reading once or twice that the Flyers were such a small part of Comcast's overall holdings, the only thing they wanted to ensure was that the organization was not an embarrassment, simply provided good entertainment/programming value.

Certainly, I'm sure that overall, they'd prefer that they were at the top of the NHL, but I guess I'd be surprised if anyone at Comcast truly cared what Ed Snider truly does with the Flyers, as long as they're competitive.

While I certainly don't know what's going on with Peter Luuko, I guess I'd be fairly surprised if anybody thought taking a shot at Snider through him was the way they'd go.

The glass shoulder seems to have been cracked once again.

You can definitely see Raffl's potential in his game. Right now he has problems finishing his shots and staying with his puck handling opportunities, but you can really tell that he'll be an effective player if he settles his shots and doesn't give up on his plays as easily.
