Well said. This country once passed laws to stop/negate monopolies. I guess we forgot about that. Just ask the middle class, oh wait, that's gone too.

Yup. But it's ok, corporations are people after all.

Even with how we have been playing we are a win behind tying the rangers for 3rd in the metro and another from tying the caps. We arent that far behind given how we started. We are still in the playoff hunt but we are in no way a lock to make it.

Also for the last ten games record we are 2nd in the Metro to the Pens and leaguewide 8th overall.

But even with this information there is no excuse for the lack of effort in Minn. The team should be ashamed. They clearly need some more pieces to become a lock for the playoffs (maybe even make the playoffs) and I wont even touch what they need to be a cup contender.

I just dont get why Montreal would send three scouts. Seems like they could be using their time better by only sending one or two and sending the third elsewhere. But what do I know

Actually just thought about this: Is Gardiner playing?

Just an idea...

Would Simmonds get it done?

God I would love to have Kulikov. I think he could be something special

Can you give us your personal scouting report on him from what you know? All I know is he's considered a puck mover

Possibly, although they want prospects, according to the scuttlebutt...

From hockey news:
Assets: Has obvious offensive instincts and a big shot from the point. Is an outstanding, well-rounded skater that posseses excellent upside. Likes to aggressively jump in and partake in the offensive side of things.

Flaws: Is still learning the small nuances of the National Hockey League game, so he needs to keep minimizing his defensive-zone mistakes and utilize his body more effectively to become an all-around impact rearguard.

Has been a minus player throughout his career. What I would be most interested in his work ethic. Havent heard too much about that.

IMO, I think he's probably a really solid second pair guy, who can move the puck well and provide some of what the Flyers need. Honestly, I don't see him as a future top defenseman, because he lacks the high end offensive capabilities of a guy like Subban, but would still be a good addition.

Right now, he still struggles with consistency, especially offensively. According to Butsy, Detroit likes him a ton.

I've seen maybe 7 games of his this year and last year.

Yeah, he'd fit well in Toronto. He's more well rounded than Gardiner or Reilly right now, and I doubt Gardiner ever becomes as capable a two way guy as Kulikov

Bit shocked that Toronto won't let Reilly go to the World Juniors. Don't believe he's playing every night.

So does Laughton and a mid round pick get it done?

I'm not sure they want to trade there only real forward prospect

Nope, not likely even close to enough, we need to just deal with not having one continue to draft & develop.

Not to be a big downer, but if the team is looking to give up any assets I rather they try to go for somebody with a bit more upside.

A better tier than say Kulikov.

Edler or Yandle.
