You might be able to fool yourself into thinking you aren't ignoring anything that doesn't fit your Schenn-is-useless agenda, but you don't fool me. I watch the games, and he has been fine ever since Berube tried the disastrous Gill + Meszaros experiment.
Since the team is doing better now you have to laser focus your whining on something, I guess. - Feanor
If you say so. Hopefully there isn't too much clutter on his mantel, needs a spot for the Norris Trophy. |

Right, because since he basically said "Schenn hasn't been bad", he now means "Schenn has been playing like the best defensman in the conference"

I wouldn't say Luke has been awful, but he does not look as confident as he did last year. Was playing with Kimmo the reason? I guess it's part of it. Also I think he got better as the season went on, and am hoping he does the same this year.
I do think the Flyers third D pair as stands is still a weakness.
They have trouble getting the puck out of their end (as do the other pairs). |

The way Holmgren handled the Leino situation was about the best thing he's done the last 3 years.
First he acquired him from Detroit for OKT, Leino was a very productive player for the Flyers and was damn near a vital cog on a Cup winning team. Second he let Leino walk when contract demands got ridiculous. - PLindbergh31
I know it is too early to reach a conclusion, but getting Mason so far would be the best, if he continues his great play. |

He's been bad all year. Because he's not as awful as he was earlier in the season doesn't mean he's playing well.
No sense in arguing. If people want to believe Schenn is playing well fine by me. |

I've been beating the "What about Alt" drum for a while now....
If Alt becomes a viable 2nd pair guy that can provide some nice offense, that could turn out to be the biggest steal of a trade in my lifetime. |

That's true. Mason has been nothing short of brilliant. |

Schenn getting 6th dman minutes all year, in addition to being a healthy scratch 3 games.
What does that tell you? |

I think one of the Flyers problems is that they have too many defenseman who need to play with the right partner in order to be effective. Timonen and Grossmann are the only guys that you can say play their games regardless of partner.
Too many followers and not enough assertiveness. |

Take a look at Matt Read. Right now he's making Ville Leino like money from when Leino played here. He wasn't playing much in Detroit or getting the ice time he probably deserved. Leino gets traded here and finds himself with great chemistry on a very successful top line that went right to the Cup Final. The Hartnell, Briere and Leino line might be the best since the Legion of Doom. Leino threw away success for money. The contract the Giroux has right now UNTIL next season, he signed for less than he was worth. Coburn did the same with his second contract with the Flyers. On a second contract in the NHL, when unproven, take a hair cut for a couple years to prove yourself. Don't take the money and run because if you do, you miss out on a much bigger pay out in the long run. |

The second a team outbids Homer for his own player, they've made a mistake. |

listen we all wear orange colored glasses and drink the kool aid except for you. It's well documented. Also we are Spindoctors (just like the band LOL) and we always skew things to fit our own narratives and agendas.
maybe you should photoshop a pic of LeCavalier's face on a pretzel to really teach us a lesson. Or post that egg on Homer's face photoshop. Another classic! |

Trying to catch up on the fun here but let me see if I can take a guess based on the last page....
PLindbergh31 is complaining about or ragging on someone/something involved with the Flyers |
