Doubt it's a lot of people

not to sound cocky or anything, but i really didnt think so either. im in here more than the pens thread. i enjoy the hell out of so many of you guys (and gals?) on here. you know im not in here to ruffle feathers. hell i think my most heated debates focus on colin kaepernick for christ sake and even that isnt meant out of any ill will.

but still, i realize this board is for you guys, and if it does get to the point that me being around causes more harm than good, just let me know. i dont want to rock the boat or ruin it for anyone else.

Simon Courcelles of a Quebec minor league suffered a gruesome skate cut to the face today. Here's the story and photo (Fair warning, it's pretty graphic): http://sports.yahoo.com/b...e-cut-014805876--nhl.html

He skated off so I would guess he'll be ok. That Yahoo writer predicts he'll require surgery, as he thinks just stitches won't be enough.

He looks a lot more concerned than the guy who was actually cut.

The teammate is in fact his brother.

The cut player honestly probably a) no idea what was going on and b) was in shock (probably what caused a) anyway)

Ya he's incredibly lucky that was on the cheek. For a dangerous cut up high like that, I would presume the cheek would be the safest place to get cut.

so if russell wilson doesnt throw a pick at the end, and gets his team in place for a field goal to win it, does that in any way change kaeps performance for better or for worse?

the team oriented outcome certainly changes, yes. but his statline and contributions sure dont. all of a sudden, it wasnt enough anymore.

like i said, im not trashing him here. he played a decent game against a tough team. but to imply in any way that he single handedly beat the seahawks defies any sort of rationality.

it means russel out played kapernick

fair enough then man. were looking at it two entirely different ways. because i wouldnt think that it would poorly reflect on kap at all. haha damn it, now im the one defending him.

I'm not sure that one's humanly possible, as I'm out there with you on it.

Ek has another rumor that Edmonton is seriously interested in Couts. The deal, IMO starts at Yakupov, their 1st and best young Dman. Thoughts?

while i wouldnt deal couts for yak straight up, that is quite a hefty hefty price. totally see why youd be unwilling to move him, but thats just a ton to me because their pick will likely be a damn good one

I agree. Just not trading a key building block for anything less than at least a slight offer pay.

definitely. there shouldnt be any such gun to homers head thinking he must move him, even if the value is roughly equal. my comment was just strictly on how i perceived the value on either side to be. but just for arguments sake, say you were looking to move him, i would think he holds more value right now than yakupov.
