This team seriously needs to consider tearing this foundation apart and starting over.
Obviously keep some players but they need to go in a new direction. They are simply a bad hockey team.
Weak, can't score, stick up for none of their teammates and rely on a goalie that this year is not up to his usual top flight standards. - MidnightMarauder
the team has a serious chance to start fresh with how many contracts are coming off the books. |

we don't know anything about what goes on in the lockerroom. honestly, we know very little about what's going on period except what's going on on the ice. people may be injured, guys might be going through personal issues, there might be tension between coaches and players, we don't know who's a leader in the room and who's not...we don't know shyt. - rangerdanger94
Nothing good goes on. Hence the 16 losses they have so far. They can't score. |

AV's just chewing his gum really hard. Good thing he saved his TO, again. |

That's not happening. They just gave a goalie 8 million bucks. - tomburton99
I know nothing will change but that would be the only way I would have hope for something better. This team, as is, simply sucks. |

It won't happen though, just a pipe dream for us fans. The big move will be re inserting Dorsett to the lineup next game - TPC

I agree with you, but they don't even stick up for each other most nights. It's my opinion but I just don't think the leadership on this team is very good. |

Oh I agree. Right now. I'd trade Brassard and J.moore for anything, literally anything. Nobody is taking Boyle, Pouliot, D.Moore, Pyatt or Falk. Rangers just have to eat those contracts. Next year no UFA get's resigned. Not even Callahan or Girardi. Start over and suck for Mcdavid. |

Not trying to start but how is this all on Vigneault? When will the players take some f*cking responsibility for their sorry efforts?
A loss is not always a loss; if this team fought hard tonight, gave max effort and still lost, yes it would be the same end result. But this was as pathetic an effort, against a wounded division rival, as you can ever see.
These guys are too comfortable and it shows. Vigneault has moved lines around, benched players, etc.; at some point the players need to be held accountable. |

dont see how that effects their ability to blow it up. or at least blow off a significant chunk. i am in favor of trading girardi, del zotto, brassard, miller, boyle, and this years 1st rounder. put pouliot/moore/pyatt through waivers. buyout richards. gotta move the fukk on. |

Leadership? On the Rangers?
It's clear there is little player leadership here. |

personally, i don't think any of this is on AV. he's putting the exact lines together we've posted on here since torts was coaching wishing would be together. he's playing the kids we want played, scratching the guys we want scratched, etc.
the offense is creating chances and hank even though he gave up 4 goals made some spectacular saves. what we're not getting is QUALITY chances and secondary chances because the PLAYERS aren't battling hard enough to get to a rebound before a caps player or to make that scoring play.
oh well. i'm still confident this team will make the playoffs and get on a hot streak eventually...after all there's still over 50 games left and we're like 1 or 2 points out of playoff spot i think. but it's just frustrating right now or whenever you lose 2 in a row or 3 of 4. |

We have differed on the Rangers, I know you're frustrated and so am I. But when you say they are too comfortable. That's directly related to AV. I mean how many times have teams scored quick goals within second or minutes. AV just stand there, looks around and chews his gum. He hold's DZ and J.Moore to different standards compared to the rest of the team. Nobody cares. Not one player played hard tonight. Who's fault is that? Some of that, most of that falls on the players. But Av's shouldn't escape blame. |

I agree that Vigneault isn't an innocent. When a team looks this pathetic nobody associated is free from blame.
But where is the pride from the player personnel? They just get smacked around and beat soundly, take it, and then move on like it's all good.

Thank god I had a bar mitzvah tonight and couldn't watch this garbage. But since I have the fortunate or misfortunate to have to write about it tomorrow, I still will be subjected to looking at this pathetic effort. |

Then the Rangers have no centers. That's like patching leak with silly puddy. Solves nothing. |

Spare yourself and write about the Bar Mitzvah you attended instead. There were probably more hits on the dance floor than the Rangers handed out tonight. |

I can agree with this. I mean I just watched Callahan speak like this was a scrimmage that didn't count. They don't care and we do, that the problem. We're idiots. I don't mean that like you lack intelligence. We just are suckers basically. |

No you're right, us die hards are retarded. How we continue to watch this team, year after year, speaks volumes of our collective lack of common sense. |
