I could see that.
The fiancee cracked me up after the game. He turned to me and said...
"It's an emergency. Recall Laughton!"

Rinaldo will have to play rock, paper, scissors with that other waste of oxygen Rosehill for the honor of getting the popcorn. - PLindbergh31
I wish the Flyers would realize that not dressing a goon means that the opposing team who did dress a goon is wasting a roster spot.

Neal didn't mean to have his knee skate directly into his face. I can't stand tue double standard in the NHL.
If Neal was a flyer I bet his suspension woukd he brutal. - Flyersgod
Remember when Neal blind sided Couts without the puck and elbowed G in the head in a game, and only was suspended one game for two head shots?
He is a star and different rules apply.

He very well might be with Timmonen gone and Streit run over with a bus by the fans..
Good to hear that some of our prospects are turning heads in the right direction. My hope is that we don't trade them all!
I'd really like to see Ghost, Morin, Alt, or Hagg make the line-up next season.
Sounds like Laughton will if he can come to training camp with this kind of motivation.
Although I could see all of them spend at least 1 season in the AHL as well... I think a lot of it depends on transactions this off season. |

Laughton on an Emergency basis ..... I wish - PhiFaninEdm
I think he could only be up for 2 games or something like that IIRC. Only as much time is allowed to replace the emergency with an eligible player from the AHL.
This would occur in a situation where the NHL team was shorthanded but unable to recall an eligible player because his AHL team may be on the road and not possible to be able to join the team.

I'll say this about Rosehill though. He doesn't cause nearly the same amount of penalty minutes on us as Rinaldo. Rinaldo has more energy and some great hits. But neither one of them can pot goals.
Rosehill has actually grown on me because he won't put us short handed but will stand up and fight when needed.
Do I think we need him? In all honesty - no. But I also don't think our prospects are ready for the big show quite yet. Take McGinn stepping up and getting creamed. Big, painful lesson for him. I hope the broken orbital bone doesn't break his spirit. He didn't seem to play with the same fire after he got back. I wasn't that upset when he got sent down to spend some time returning to form in the AHL. |

Probably McGinn. - johndewar
I get the feeling we may see Akeson or Vandevelde as well, if McGinn doesn't produce. And McGinn hasn't been producing in the AHL lately either.

When are they going to call up an extra forward?
If there's another injury tonight in the top 9 one of the two R-words will have to move up and they are lucky to be getting 4th line minutes as it is. |

True
Therefore Marchand should have been penalized for interfering with Neal's knee.
What was Marchand doing sticking his head out there like that? |

Honestly, Nichuskin didn't impress me all that much. He looked very good during the Flyers' meltdown, but otherwise I didn't notice anything but his size. I wouldn't say he looked bad, but he also didn't look like the second coming of Malkin as some had alluded to. - jmatchett383
He is 18. Geez what do you have to do besides have a 4 point night to get some credit. |

Something I've noticed too - when Rosehill is in the lineup, Rinaldo acts stupid, can't control himself, and is a complete nutjob. When Rosehill is out, Rinaldo is more composed and controlled.
I really don't think Rosehill is a good influence on him. Seems either Rinaldo thinks he needs to "out-goon" Jay, or else Jay is like the bad influence out there prodding Rinaldo into doing something. "Come on... everyone's doing it!" |

Who was recalled to take Rinaldo's place in the lineup?
Surely he's going to be held accountable for his selfish, despicable actions right?

Chris Vandevelde leads that team in goals last I checked and could be the guy, as well.
Point is, I'm fine with Raffl being in a top 6 role for a few games to fill a spot, but do we need to see him for a month trying to fill a top 6 role?
I'd rather see someone else and let Raffl get his footing on another line. Somehow, though, I don't think this is what's going to happen. |

Agreed. Frankly, I blame Berube. I actually think Berube's been alright so far, but he clearly hasn't had Rinaldo on a leash of any length this season. |

Apparently McGinn is in Ottawa.
There are enough undisciplined guys on this team. No need for Rinaldo. Rosehill hasn't been completely undisciplined, but he's useless.
Without Lecavalier for the next month at least, I see a whole lot of games in the immediate future where this team struggles to pot two goals. |

I would play him. He is a starter. I have no idea what happened between those 2 to cause that reaction. Maybe something in pregame, maybe Rinaldo thought once he dropped the other guy would too. Maybe he saw the team was flat and was trying to do something to get them pumped. Only Rinaldo really knows what happened. If Cheif heard the reason and plays him, thats all I need to know. |
