I get the feeling we may see Akeson or Vandevelde as well, if McGinn doesn't produce. And McGinn hasn't been producing in the AHL lately either. - MBFlyerfan
On the team website, it lists Tye McGinn. Prior to Holmgren's announcement on Lecavalier, he was not listed.
Personally, I'd recall Akeson. McGinn ran red hot or ice cold during his earlier stint. VandeVelde is only signed to an AHL deal, and the Flyers would have to actually sign him prior to being able to recall him.
And Panaccio just tweeted that McGinn is in Ottawa with the team |

It's sickening. There's no way he should be playing tonight. - BulliesPhan87
What did you think of the Emery fight? I thought that was WAY worse, since Rinaldo didnt even land any punches, and gave the other guy time to drop his gloves. |

He looked like perfect compliment to Benn and Seguin, and for him to keep up with those two at age 18 is pretty good.

If Rinaldo never played another game for the Flyers it would be fine with me.
The guy cannot be trusted. He's stupid waiting to happen. I can't stand players like that. |

Blaming Rosehill for Zac losing his composure seems to be stretching it. - Marc D
I'm not talking about one game... I'm looking at all season, comparing the games Rosehill is in, and when he isn't it. Say what you want, but it seems to be true. The games Rinaldo loses his cool the most is when Jay is in the lineup. Jay's idiocy seems to rub off on him even more... |

Personally, I liked the Emery fight. Razor was totally the bad guy and totally an bumhole, but whatever. The team's frustrations boiled over. With Rinaldo, my issue is that he's undone what progress he made last season. He's taking penalties, not drawing them. He's a negative on this team right now, and what he did yesterday was just plain stupid. No team frustrations had emerged in that seventy-five second span, he was just being an inexplicable poopheel.
He, above all others, needs accountability. |

Forget driving Couts to the Airport. I would drive his ass the whole way to Edmonton, with the windows down! |

I would play him. He is a starter. I have no idea what happened between those 2 to cause that reaction. Maybe something in pregame, maybe Rinaldo thought once he dropped the other guy would too. Maybe he saw the team was flat and was trying to do something to get them pumped. Only Rinaldo really knows what happened. If Cheif heard the reason and plays him, thats all I need to know. - youarewrong
Thanks
I don't know what he said but Zac needs to be smarter.
As for them being flat it was literally the second shift of the game. |

I'm with you. Rinaldo becoming a PK player is a farce. When you are a fringe NHL player at best, you can't afford to be a liability when it comes to discipline. |

Maybe there is correlation, I believe you about that.
What I was trying to say is Zac needs to be responsible for himself, even if he is getting the wrong kind of encouragement from his teammate. |

I'm not going to pass judgement. Who knows if Rousell shot a puck at Giroux in practice, or if he told Rinaldo that he was going with him first shift. I dont know if after 2 days of not skating if the team was half a sleep and Rinaldo tried to wake them up... I just dont know. The result was bad, but I'm not condeming his actions while people praise what Emery did... which IMO was 10 times worse. |

Apparently McGinn is in Ottawa.
There are enough undisciplined guys on this team. No need for Rinaldo. Rosehill hasn't been completely undisciplined, but he's useless.
Without Lecavalier for the next month at least, I see a whole lot of games in the immediate future where this team struggles to pot two goals. - PLindbergh31
Glad to hear McGinn's getting the call. Agreed on everything else. I don't like having an enforcer still, but he's inoffensive (unlike Rinaldo, who was a flashbang of concentrated stupid yesterday). |

That's just because the other guy ducked a Rinaldo haymaker.
I was hoping getting promoted to the second PK unit would encourage him to take less penalties since he can't kill them from the box. |

I am going to pass judgement. That's not the time or method to "wake your team up". It was straight up terrible. I sincerely doubt we'll agree on this. |

The problem with Rinaldo, and to a lesser extent, Rosehill, is that they don't get held to the same standard of accountability others do.
Rinaldo has drawn just one penalty this season, he's committed several really dumb ones and they give him more responsibility, by adding him to the PK. Meanwhile, Meszaros takes a dumb penalty late in a game and he gets benched for three weeks.

Well I'm not a psyhcic or anything, but he might have been able to tell by the warm up, in the locker-room. 2 days off the ice, and no crowd to play in front of... I think he went out on a limb and it broke. If Rousel drops the gloves and Rinaldo wins... COuld have been a different game... Who knows. |

I'm sure Roussell was talking poop before the game and told him he would fight Zac the second they were on the ice together, but that was such a dumb move. |

I understand the top line has to be better, and the defense core is a virtual horror show on a nightly basis.
For the life of me I don't understand dressing 2 guys in Rosehill and Rinaldo who literally have zero chance of scoring. The Flyers can't score goals. Having these guys in the lineup every game is idiotic. |
