That's not bad. Maybe his recent play has dissuaded me. I think what bothers me is his lack of identity as a player. - PhillySportsGuy
I expect some conglomeration of David Backes, Mikko Koivu and Ryan Kesler... his development is right on track if you put it up against those guys' histories. |

Schenn and Couturier's total ice-time per game has been equal since they've come into the league... any difference in linemates and special teams roles are accounted for in Schenn's superior (and might I note, steady) .5 points/game average.
Before they broke out, Richie and Carts were getting a lot more minutes than Coots/Schenn, and neither of them were as productive as Schenn despite more favorable situations. - Tomahawk
I'm not saying trade Braydon Schenn.
I think he should be contributing more consistently after 100 NHL games, given his pedigree and draft position. |

How about this kind of cookie?

I don't claim to be the ultimate Chocolate Chip cookie taster, but I do miss Mom's cookies on snowy days like this one.
Ahhh, memories...

That cookie only hangs points and doesn't have a very high CORSI.... |

Again, he has scored at a faster rate than either of the Sedins. Some top draft picks don't break out till they're in their mid 20s. |

I said "to name a few." I've never met you IRL compared to the others. Not my fault Scoob only made enough dough for a quarter dozen. |

I agree. Far and away our best defenseman right now. That said, if he was part of a trade for a TRUE #1 defenseman (Pronger-esque), I'd do it. - jmatchett383
I'd prefer to lose Streit, Mesz and Kimmo (knowing he's probably done after this season) and retain Coburn, Schenn and Grossmann for the next several seasons. Those 3 players combined are earning $11.6mm for the next 3 seasons, then they all become UFAs (based on CapGeek info).
That's a solid defensive core as far as I'm concerned, with good size, hitting and shot-blocking abilities, and Coburn's speed. Bring in 3 more to compliment what we have from trades or the farm system, and I'm very optimistic. |

Oh, I agree that I don't want him gone. But you're not losing Streit (you just aren't), and if you're out, Kimmo and Grossmann will get you the best return. I like Grossmann, don't get me wrong. But if someone offers you a 1st rounder for him, hard to say no. |

You know damn well that players like Rykkvid Kesivkes are few and far between.
God damn that is some tough-ass Norweigan-sounding name.

Yeah, but the cookie would make me happy. This teams play doesn't....
I just want the players to live up to their potential, and put forth the best effort that they can. I see correctable stuff on the ice, but no corrections. Are the players really interested in playing or are they just enjoying the pay, and off season vacation time? Or maybe this is just the next generation of players? Who would have thought that a Russian player would actually want to go back to Russia, and play in the KHL a few years ago? Just something to consider.
Keep the cookies, and milk coming. My wife has to work today, so I am being bad...

Absolutely. I get rid of Grossmann long before I trade either Coburn or Schenn. And I'm hopeful some team next year with plenty of cap space - maybe even an issue getting to the floor - is willing to take Streit off our hands. |

Braydon Schenn averages 15 minutes of ice time per game now, as he did in the lockout year.
The Sedins didn't see that kind of ice time until their 4th full year, when they both broke out.
Henrik and Daniel weren't even seeing the ice for 13 minutes a game in their second year.
Braydon Schenn gets 15 minutes of ice time after 100+ NHL games.
The Sedin comparision doesn't wash with me, sorry. |

My secret dream is that both Hartnell and Streit both get plucked away in an expansion draft. |

So he should be producing at 1.25x their individual production averages, all things being equal? |
