Yeah, well if the Mountie wanted to fight the Big Boss Man today, he'd need a shovel - Jsaquella
True....
I should have used this as my example. This is the definition of America owning Canada.

They got better beer, food, Hockey on TV all the time and the mayor of thei biggest city is a walking comedy goldmine... - Jsaquella
where the hell in the US do you live where they have worse food than Canada? don't get me wrong, it's not Ireland or anything, but i'll take some American IPA's and anything made in a bar near a 1/4 of my house over anything i've eating in Canada. Poutine included.

Simpson has been horrible this year in Rockford. He's posted somewhere around a 3.50 gaa. Raanta should hopefully get the start again tonight. Regardless of who's in net, expect the Hawks to play a solid defensive game to limit scoring chances. - Hawksfan74
Simpson has not been terrible; he has a save percentage about .90 which is descent enough given minor league hockey is a developmental league more than anything else. If Simpson even played, opponent should be up to date on how well the goaltender has handled his weak area(s) of game. Simpson needed to work on rebound control, according to his draft year review. And that is from RealWiz, the authority on the Entry Draft review. Simpson was a #2 round and had a solid first year. He is greener than the green Raanta.
Raanta is prone to mistakes related to the North American game. He had played well in the AHL but is up only due to inj. He usually makes the saves he should while also making several superlative stops. The Anaheim announcers made some ignorant comments about him.
In short, it is possible Flyers could get one past him they do not deserve. Net presence always is a good strategy. CHG always has difficulty stopping big talented forwards like the Ducks have. Beware our tremendous offensive depth. Bollig is among best fighters but not truly in the heavyweight (body) class.
Leddy can be soft but can also beat you with speed and skill. |

I've had good food in Jersey. It's like every other state. It's just always surprised me that with such a sweeping coast their signature foods are tomatoes, corn and salt water taffy! |

You don't think they'll trade Vinny back to Tampa? After what Tampa tried to pull with the leafs to keep him? He'll be back in blue and silver as fast as they can make it happen. - mayorofangrytown

To reunite him with St. Louis? All they need is their own Mountain. It's a love story waiting to be written.

This NHL Rival horsepoop on NBC sports is awful.
They are showing Flyers vs. Blackhawks rivalry now. I guess it's a half hour chronicling the 2007 Draft, and highlights of Leighton giving up one bad goal after another. |

Bobby Orr makes a similar point: he feels that todays North American hockey players lack creativity in their game because every moment they've ever spent on the ice has been strictly regulated and organized. These kids rarely if ever just get out on the ice and spend a few hours just fooling around with puck and having fun. - BiggE
I think of this every time the Flyers go to a shootout.

I watched it the other night, it's exactly that. Itsvgood but tough to watch.
On another note, I'm really warming up to the idea of going after Dion in the offseason

I'm not a big Phaneuf fan, but he's much better than anyone they have now.
I'm looking forward to the TB/Calgary rivalry. |

He is going to command soooo much money. But we really have no other options and I'm not okay with the franchise going into another season thinking Coburn can carry a top pairing.
Maybe the Panthers will buy Campbell out? I'd rather him at a little bit of a cheaper price/less years than Pheanuf but yeah, at this point I'll gladly take either. |

Ya, Dion sounds pretty good right now. I also wish someone we had now could be a douche to the media like Pronger was, and do douchey little things like take the puck after the game to get under the other team's skin. I miss that |
