He is going to command soooo much money. But we really have no other options and I'm not okay with the franchise going into another season thinking Coburn can carry a top pairing.

Maybe the Panthers will buy Campbell out? I'd rather him at a little bit of a cheaper price/less years than Pheanuf but yeah, at this point I'll gladly take either.

I could live with $7.5 a year for someone like him, considering how much the cap is expected to rise over the next few years. $7.5 might seem like a good deal 4 years in.

i cannot reveal it until after the game.

The fourth fatima.

I know the numbers will begin to be skewed because of the rise in the cap, but I would max out at 7.5/6 and I don't think that will be enough.

Is there any chance on Morin or Hagg making the team next year?

EDIT: I was referring to Phaneuf not Campbell.

So Bob Mac just said Kane and Toews will have 12 million dollar cap hits in 2 years, and Seattle will have an expansion team in 2015.

I think Seattle is a good idea, especially without an NBA team at the moment.

And boy oh boy would Giroux be a bargain at his caphit if that is true. Sheesh.

8.25 won't seem bad as the cap escalates. He still has to perform much better than he is. I wonder if his hand is an issue.

Seattle has Starbucks, rain, Cano, and the Seahawks. That's plenty.

Probably 8-8.5., its the years that concern me. The guy logs a ton of minutes against the other squads top line. As bad as TO is on D, the give up 38 shots a game, he's +12 on the year. I've hated him over his career, complete douche, but a damn good player that can replace kimmo

I doubt it. Both seem like long term projects. Morin needs a ton of refinement. Hagg could be fast tracked but I suspect him to struggle mightily in his own zone if they do.

Alt and Lauridson are guys I'd feel more combfortable with in the lineup next year. Neither have the high ceilings Morin and Hagg have but they are probably much more NHL ready.

With the projected cap rise, he might not be too far off. If they were resigned last offseason I suspect they'd get in the 8-9 mil range. If the cap rises 10 mil in 2 years then equivalent contracts could be worth like 9.5-10.5mil then. I also think saying it'll go up 10 mil in 2 years is low balling it.

Anyone want to talk about the insane amount of suspensions? Some of them seem to be just plays that are penalty worthy but not suspension worthy.

1st line still losing a ton of 50/50 puck battles. No offensive zone sustainability. Voracek keeps being the predictable perimeter player as well.

Its why even if they make the playoffs this year they'll be a first round exit.

I cant imagine this team generating anything playing playoff pace hockey.
