Yeah. Granted, I was absolutely gushing over Gostisbehere last year. had no problem getting up at 3AM to watch Team USA.
Also, just realized Laughton is 3rd in the OHL in Pts/GP. - jmatchett383
It's a shame he couldn't play in the AHL. We were all right when we said he was too good for OHL, but not quite ready for NHL. |

this current team works like dogs every ight. i hope they can establish a decent following given the time switch for them - stayinthefnnet
I can see Columbus being a true rival to Pittsburgh, at least from a geographic standpoint.
I have come to understand that Ohesions and Western Pennsylvanians do not get along well.
/I have no idea if Ohesions is a real word. |

It will be nice to watch Juniors and be able to say "Hey, look! He's a Flyer prospect!" - PhillySportsGuy
We had a good stretch for a while with carter, richards, girous, downie, and jvr. I was watchin a team canada world jr classics the other night. And a lot of our current/old players were pretty big stars for team canada at some point |

Yeah, but right now, I'm cool with him captaining the Canadian team. As long as Stolarz isn't in net for the USA against them, I'm actually rooting for Canada so he can gain the confidence that he can be a leader on a championship team. Just sucks we'll have to hear about Canadian dominance again. |

If Columbus doesn't get their act together real quick I would inquire about Gaborik. Coming off an injury and a pendinf UFA on a bad team. Could be had pretty cheaply I think. |

I'm actually up and about with my leg in a fixed position. I've got full weight bearing, so I get to walk around like Frankenstein('s monster) now.
I still reserve the right to be a crabby jerk, though. |

There would have to be a lot of money going back to Columbus to make that happen. The Flyers having to LTIR Pronger leaves them with very little wiggle room in acquiring high priced players in season. |

I don't. I fully expect him to put up better numbers than Crosby did. I'm not saying he'll emulate Gretzky's production (as a 16-year-old), but he should be the best player in the tourney. |

Mesz would have to go their way. |

Schenn will play tonight. Great news. Initially after seeing the hit, I thought it would be a long term injury.
Flyers have been pretty fortunate injury wise this season. (Knock on wood)
Only player missing significant time thus far has been Lecavalier.
After last summers fiasco with Weber, Holmgren hasn't exactly redeemed himself.
Streit has been pretty terrible majority of the season. Lecavalier has been good when he's played, but hasn't been on the ice enough... And Emery is 44th in save %. |

So I guess guys like Mason who has been a breath of fresh air... and Raffl who has been dynamic enough to play on any of the 4 lines and be successful in that role shouldnt be recognized? |

I don't think it's very likely. They paid a lot for Gaborik. They aren't going to trade him for spare parts. They will want a legit prospect and pick. |

USA won last year, when Canada was able to send NHL players. They cant talk about dominance for a while... lol |

I was talking this offseason. July 2013. I think the majority want Hextall elevated to GM yesterday. |

That Canadian team was so mismanaged from Day 1, and they didn't deserve to medal. Whether they can or can't talk about dominance, they will. Heck, Don Cherry still said they were better since most of the USA boys were Canadian-trained. It's impossible to knock the smug out of Canadians when it comes to hockey. |

Flyers prospect Scott Laughton was named captain of Canada's World Junior team. He has got to be a little studdy to get the honor? - Bearintheforest
