I'm a (frank)in good luck charm. I have gone to 1 game per year for the last 15 years with exception of the lockout, and they have won every single game I've been to. - Richieattack18
speaking of ritchie and attacks i thought raffl had a couple of ritchie-esque plays on the PK tonight, he was great. |

So many points to ponder. First, Flyers are 3-0 when my kid plays. We all loved it and he played well. Thanks for the positive comments.
Second, Not sure why anyone's interested in Phaneuf or Gardiner. Has TOR been a dominate team? Are they known as defensive juggernot? Hell no. Homer got Pronger for less than what Phaneuf will command. Subban is a RFA at the end of the season and we can get him for a bag of cash.
Third, Simmonds is absolutely a core player. Figure all of the top 9 are young except for Hartnell and VL.
Fourth, any trade is about clearing a spot for Scott Laughton to play or acquiring Subban - JGHawley
Wait, who's your kid?!
EDIT: Just backread and see what you mean. Very very cool....good luck going forward for Lil Hawley! He should play every game.... |

I wanted to share a couple of things with you guys about my road trip to Columbus Saturday and ask a question direct at the Philly locals.
First, I highly recommend going to see a Blue Jackets game. At the beginning of a game, chicks! During every commercials, chicks! During every intermission, chicks! After every goal, chicks! After the game, chicks! Oh and they have a sweet cannon too.
Now my question to Philly locals are, which Flyers do you find are the most fan friendly? I ran into Scott Hartnell. I wasn't wearing my Jersey at the time but I saw him, he saw me and he saw the look of surprise and shock on my face. The guy didn't look approachable at all and he was listening to his ipod. It didn't change my opinion of him but would it have killed him to nod or smile?
30 seconds later I ran into Ian Laperriere. I sprinted to him. I approached him and man, what a prince! The guy couldn't be more nice. I wanted to talk hockey but I was so star struck that all I could get out were the two pucks to his face and his role on this is 40. He talked with me for awhile. He practically walked around most of the side of Nationwide Arena to help me find someone to take our picture together. He suggested the smokers in the smoking section outside. I'm still very impressed by that man. - Schenn2shine

Seriously. The more minutes Raffl gets the more you can see his confidence grow. His speed and awareness are coming together nicely. He's no Pyrola or Nodl. |

Good read.
I wouldn't hold it against Hartnell too much. Clearly he's a pretty good guy, with HartnellDown and whatnot, but he's in a whole different place than Lappy career-wise, and clearly he's not having the greatest of seasons so far. You also have to take your reaction into account when assessing his.
Your encounter with Lappy sounds like it was worth double the admission. Congrats on that! |

Agreed.
Did you hear them talking about his speed tonight, how it's deceptive? Cause I have to agree, he doesn't look fast at all, but he definitely gets it done out there.
So long as G and V are producing, Raffl stays on the top line...you can't mess with that. |

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like a fun time.
Going to Flyers games is sort of like time travel. It's like it's still 1992, dad jeans, AC/DC and all... |

It also sounds like this was before the game, when Hartnell would be zoning into playing mode. I don't think anyone playing is that approachable pregame. |

Oh...I just assumed this was post game. If it was before the game, yeah, stop harassing the players! And what the hell was Lappy doing, walking all around the stadium when he should be working? Son of a ... |

It was a horribly officiated game. Very inconsistent, lot of valid penalties went ignored and some of the calls made were very weak. - Jsaquella

'Little'...it's almost always a bit on the condescending side. Really, just more of an excuse to give you a hard time.
I guess you haven't gotten the results back yet? |

haha nah. i mean he doesnt strike me as a hulking presence out there? just a guy thats not exactly physically blessed or oozing skill, but is just hustling (without being a scumbag) and doing his best to excel in whatever situations out there. he may be able to be a dupuis type guy in the league.
and nah. they wont be out until late january. seems ridiculous to me, but oh well. i guess i technically survived the first semester. |
