A lot of those guys can be highly effective 4th liners, provided they're willing to work hard and play a certain style.
A guy like Peter White could never seem to understand that by working on his defensive game, he could be a regular in the NHL, instead of leading the AHL in scoring - Jsaquella
maybe he preferred riding buses instead of airplanes? |

You might want to make mention of that in your first response. Easy enough to say, "Well that's fine, but my main point is to demote Hartnell to the 4th line" Far more understandable when you highlight your main point - Jsaquella
Really doesnt matter to me. I'm not going to discuss proper posting procedures with you either. |

I guess he also enjoyed making less cash, IIRC he was on a two way deal for most of his time in the Flyers org |

Well for whatever reasons, he never seemed to make the needed adjustments to make his two way game better. Perhaps he preferred being a big fish in a smaller pond. |

this just had me think of gagne, for the sole reason that he's not in the league this year. i wonder with the adjusted cap next season if he'll find a spot. based on what i saw last seaon he still had gas left in the tank. |

Gill's apparently already out, looks like Grossmann is back and Meszaros will be in for Gus |

I don't think he was finished, but he definitely is a third liner or support guy moving forward. I'm still fairly sure that the Flyers snub of him came from his salary demands more than anything else. If he and his agent are still expecting to make $2-3mm per year, even under the expanded cap, I'm not sold they'll find takers. |

LSchenn is glad.
He's actually lobbying to play along side Gill on a regular shift. Says Hal will make him look like Paul Coffee.
Well...maybe Derian Hatcher anyway. |

By process of elimination (of the slow guys) he gives us an added element of mobility
Gus is one guy I wish was 4 inches taller & 25 lbs heavier. He'd be really effective

Well, there were rumors that the Habs took a look at him, but passed...since then, he's spoken about retiring.
I just look at a guy like Brendan Morrow making $1.5mm and feel if Gags wants to play, he'll need to accept a small salary |

He fell and his leg kind of whipped around and hit the Columbus player. He had to be helped off the ice.

If Schenn could just make a read consistently he'd be so much better.
My worry is that it seems his confidence takes a hit and it snowballs on him. He's unsure of himself and gets to running around.

You must have missed him getting broken Saturday night.
I hate it when a guy is down and in the line of fire and they keep playing. I understand if play has gone the other way, but the threat of a puck to the face of a guy in no position to defend himself always freaks me out. |

Eh, but then you know some times your going to get guys that go down just to end a scoring threat, or get tired guys off the ice. A lot like you see when a goalie will just pop his mask off. Or happen to need an adjustment at just the right time.... Unless a guy is out cold or blood is flowing, keep them playing. |
