Over on TSN they did an all-time WJC team. It had 4 former Flyers. Carter, Lindros, Richards, and Forsberg. - youarewrong
Gagne and Brayden Schenn also played very well during their time with the team. |

I was told Olli Maatta is the next Nick Lidstrom, and that Penguins fans generally have much more intelligent, reasonable expectations than Flyers fans. - BulliesPhan87
you watch and see! kid is going to be special!
all hyperbole and joking aside, and i understand it is still early. but i can see him being one of the better two way defenders in the league. granted, thats a far cry from being perhaps the greatest person to ever play the position, but still.

I think their expectations were thrown off when they drafted Crosby and Malkin. They think every first round pick will develop into those types of players. - PhillySportsGuy
I think they're an alright bunch, some are more realistic than others. The only complaint I have is they mostly seem to think we're all slobbering cavemen here in Philly. |

He's looked good. I just like firing off my counter to the "next Ron Francis" comments |

The games in Edmonton is very important. They need to start strong otherwise things could get ugly. |

Both Schenns are a bust. They were busts when they didnt win the Norris and the Richard trophies by the time they were 16 years old.
Busts I tell you!

I think we should have someone make a bust of a prospect bust. Then place them on a mantle.

I'm not saying we're all saints, either. I think you nailed it, it's a people thing. I've just noticed a number of Penguins fans (present company excluded) have very creative opinions of their cross state counterparts. |

As one of the 40-some percent of Americans that pays taxes... Yes, I do. - youarewrong
One way or another, everybody pays taxes.
You are referring to Federal Income taxes, but I'm not sure if your 40% number is accurate.
While on the subject, what do you think about some corporations paying NO taxes? |

honestly, i think thats one of my main reasons ive always disliked the flyers. it had more to do with their average "fan". look at the current squad you guys have. its hard as a hockey fan to not respect guys such as matt read, or kimmo timonen. outside of like the irrelevant rinaldo, you guys dont even have anyone to really dislike that much. i get the whole rivalry thing, i do. but for me its mainly centered around the throngs of fans that just drive me nuts. that stereotype is alive and well in the minds of tons of annoying individuals. the whole dudeeeee we should have never gotten rid of carbomb!!!! were the bullies man! look! i have a shirt that says Fly on it! get it! the flyers logo is shaped like a fist! because we are the toughest! Hey wait a minute! they totally didnt call that trip on our guy, the refs totally hate us. |

Tempting.
We should trade Laughton cause he did nothing in the first WJC game.
And McDavid is clearly over-hyped because he only got 2 assists and no hat tricks.

I always hated him so much. What made him so much worse was that we had to give up Upshall to get him. The team tried to make an excuse that we needed more toughness when we all know it was a cap move to keep Giroux from being sent down. Not saying Upshall is some great player, but he was certainly more valuable than Carcillo, Carcillo, Dan Carcillo |

McDavid could have had so much more too. He had at least 3 breakaways. I turned the game off with 10 minutes left. |
