Notice how it was all negatives? If you're going to sit there and point out flaws and negatives, and ignore all positives, thats what you end up with. Where does one check goals given up in the last minutes of a game anyways?

I'd be interested in your take on the positives. I'm not saying there aren't any, but there are clearly issues with this team.

If there weren't issues with this team we would be the Chicago Blackhawks. Hell, even the Penguins have issues with their team. Did anyone expect the Toronto Maple Leafs to be a flawless reflection of perfection?

I think the positives are our goaltending, over coming the adversity of our injuries and suspensions, our young roster, the progression of guys like Rielly, the fact we've done well despite our offense not being as good as they could be.

The Leafs situation isn't a rosy glorious one, but it's far from the doom the media makes it out to be. We have issues sure, and we will continue to have them for awhile. Most teams that aren't Cup contenders do. poop, all teams that arent contenders do. Im not saying we should ignore the teams issues, but I am saying we should still be able celebrate wins and feel a little good after one instead of the media telling us to stop it and remember to feel poopty instead.

Agreed.

Leafs made it through arguably the toughest part of their schedule while being really beat up and all the while still held onto a playoff position.

The Leafs have the same winning %, when leading after 2 periods as the Canucks do. I wonder how many times their media reminds them their team is poop and that they're "lucky".

Florida is tops, you heard that right, Florida is leading the league when it comes to their record after theyve been leading after 2 periods. Go tell them how awesome they are, Toronto media...

Oh for sure. Everyone knows a good goalie is about the equivalent of a leprechaun with a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Then again, winning 5-2 is barely escaping with victory.

Really, Leafs are up by 5 on the last playoff spot. The Flyers have 3 game sin hand and are down only by 5 points. The Rags have 1 game in hand. The Leafs have to get it together to even have a look at the playoffs..

The Leafs are already looking at the playoffs.

Really, Leafs are behind 3rd in the conference by 5 points. Teams 5 and 6 have the same amount of points as us, though with a game or two in hand. In fact, Toronto can be in 6th if they beat the Wings on Wed. Games in hand only mean so much, and that isnt a whole lot for teams that lose more than they win anyways. Flyers are already in the playoffs, so they won't bump us out.

Enough with the doom and gloom. You out of beer? loolzz.

Most, though not all, items stored in a fridge are there to be kept fresh. Not cold. Ask your mom and dad if you've never used one and don't believe me.

Rags have a game in hand and are 5 points back. Their record in the last 10 is worse than the Leafs'.

Philly doesn't affect us, as they're in one of the guaranteed spots.

New Jersey is the biggest threat, tied with the rags, with a marginally better record than the Leafs.

But as I pointed out yesterday, with their win last night, they finished December over 500. Playing some of their worst hockey against their hardest stretch of the schedule. Now they're getting healthy, the HBO distraction will be behind them, and their schedule is getting easier.

WOO!

I love it "Leafs will be lucky to look at the playoffs"... they're in a playoff spot.

And every game in hand other teams has is an automatic win. Even if those teams are facing other teams with games in hands vs the Leafs.

Seriously, it's getting quite pathetic and ridiculous lately....Is this a HB malady or are the other forums out there with more rational fans?
