No u need some production from ya 3rd line...Playing McClement there kills the line in terms of production...Play McC on the 4th line where he belongs... - Fruitcakenipple
I disagree Newf. If my 3rd line, shuts down the other teams top line, then they have earner their paycheque. Don't need a single point from them. Your top two lines are paid to score. The 3rd line shuts down the scoring. |

we are going to pay him like he is one of the best in the game and i am willing to bet he doesnt even make team canada
for years he has been considered the most over rated player in the game by his own peers ffs. - Dozzer
I figure within a year he won't be paid as high. He's only paid as high because when better players signed their deals the cap was lower. They also were allowed the circumvention.
Does anyone honestly think Keith wouldn't get 8 million offered if he was to sign tomorrow? |

Leafs lines at morning skate: JVR-Bozak-Kessel, Raymond-Kadri-Lupul, Kulemin-McClement-Clarkson, D'Amigo-Holland-Orr.
LOL...Holland move down to 4th line....Nice call RC.... - Fruitcakenipple
When Bolland comes back and takes the 3C slot, and McClement moves back to 4C, Holland will be relegated to 13th forward.
Depth is a good thing, so his acquisition wasn't in vain.

If he's overrated he must be the worst player to ever play in the NHL cause according to everyone he is pure garbage. |

'for starters i would put dion, franson, and reimer on the block.
i would try and move bozak as well since he is nothing more than a poor mans bolland... but the idea of someone taking bozak at that cap hit is well.. laughable. - Dozzer
I agree with Franson and Reimer.
As for Blowzak, he is not the poor mans Bolland. He makes more money than Bolland.
Get your facts straight you perogie eatin mother (frank)er.

Find me a stat that proves Phaneuf puts in more pucks in his own net that anyone else. You can not continue to use your opinion is fact. Unless you watch every game of every other team you are merely theorizing this because you watch more leafs games then other teams. - Yeti1181
i wish they had an own goal stat.. always had.
but you claim other guys do it as well.. i disagree.. or we would hear about it ..
the fact that we do know is the dion has put more pucks in his net this year (4) than the oppositions (3)
yay.. 7 million.. and the mediocrity continues

I don't know. Give him some good wingers that can cycle like Kulemin and Clarkson and they do alright. - Aaron85
Sure they will cycle but they wont score..For me it's about trying to get some point production from the 3th line..
If Holland gonna be the 4th line center than send him down to the Marlies and give up the 3rd round pick rather than the 2nd... |

if DP was as good as you all think he is you dont think calgary would of gotten a better return for him?
same with franson.. toronto media overhype machine really knows how to elevate an average player into a star |

They suck now with Phaneuf...But whatever lets do another McCabe... - Fruitcakenipple
They've had some key injuries had a great Oct a bad Nov and if they win tonight finish 500 in Dec. Not bad fr a team with key injuries and only a few wins out of 3rd in the east.
I'm not saying they've been playing well.. it's been awful but they're hanging in there. |

All we hear about is how bad Phaneuf is how is this overrated someone Dozzer. Team Canada thought he was so overrated they invited him to Olympic camp. That vote was three three ago almost. Three years ago he wasn't as good as he is now. |

Franson's a nobody... no amount of hype is turning this guy into a top D on the team.

The best GM's in the league think highly enough of Phaneuf. Team Canada rates him in their top 10. |

If I remember correctly I had heard at the time of the trade that if Phaneuf was available that other GMs were willing to toss their "better' garbage at Calgary for him. |

Woah woah woah. We have POTENTIAL. Hitching your teams fortunes on Gards and Rielly is a huge mistake and over estimation.
McCabe was wayy older than Phaneuf. McCabe only a fraction of the player Phaneuf is in the defensive zone. But yea, we sure ditched McCabe and got better by signing Komi and Beauch. That worked out well.
Thank god the Phaneuf trade came along after and put an end two those two (frank)s. - systemtool
McCabe was great till the lockout, then they made the McCabe, er can opener rule |

-DP got a big contract because of a great production (his best to date) and he never lived up to it
thats why calgary moved him
this is an example of a guy who showed huge amounts of promise and will be overpaid his entire career because of one flash in the pan season |

Yes cause the thing of the NHL, especially in Canada, is the indept analysis of every single thing on every single team. |

There were personnel issues between Dion and other players.
The fact above and the fact that we just generally stole him from Calgary.
These are facts Dozzer. No use in denying them. |
