Kadri had an extended tryout to play with the Leafs top two forwards. Not only didn't he produce, but the Kessel and JVR struggled badly.

I'm pissed cause I own a Kadri sweater.

i would try and move bozak as well since he is nothing more than a poor mans bolland... but the idea of someone taking bozak at that cap hit is well.. laughable.

I disagree about Reimer, while we can have two solid goaltenders who cost us less than $6m combined, then we should ride with it. Both are young, and neither have truly proven to be the kind of number one that you can play for 60-65 games, so until then, it's a good problem to have.

Franson I'm in agreement with; he will cost us way too much for what he gives. There are many better defensive d-men who would help us out, while we ride Gards/Rielly on the powerplay lines in Franson's place.

Bozak, well... as you say, the chances of getting rid of him are somewhere between slim and none, with slim waiting on the the platform at Union with ticket in hand...

I still think that we have to look outside the team, and target someone like Polak or Greene to come in and play second line. As I, and others, have mentioned, Girardi should also be a target, but this would prove to be an expensive option.

His stat lines are equivalent to a lot of the top players and when they sign they will get more money then him most likely so yes that is what his present rate is at in the current economic of the NHL.

At least Clarky was a good water bottle police officer. I miss that goof.

Here's a couple of other things to look at.

1. He is making 6.5 right now. If it's 7 then that's a 500k raise. Pretty small in today's NHL. Would you or anyone else take a reduction in salary at your job? Probably not. You'd go somewhere else. We currently don't have a better option. So we're stuck.

2. Keep the asset. Other GM's like DP too. If and when our young guys mature then look to move him. His contract will look much better than too.
