True story, both AFC wild card teams beat the Eagles and Cowboys this year.

NJ's defensive system is way better, Bishop's been better this season.
- Nucker101

System, yup.

D corps are both pretty bad.

And like I said over in the TB blog, it's not all about this season, or they wouldn't have chosen the three guys they did.

Dude, the Cards played the Seahawks and 49ers twice. And a Cards tie today puts them ahead of the Eagles.
- golfingsince

Tie? Eagles (if they win) finish 10-6 and have a win over Arizona. If Arizona was in the AFC they'd be in the playoffs already no questions asked. How is this hard to understand?

Settle the (frank) down, Stuart.

I posted it in here because I thought it was funny, and I wanted the opinion of the posters in this board.

I posted that it was ridiculous that they chose Howard over Schneider, and you said that it was more ridiculous that they chose him over Bishop—does that not mean you think he's a better candidate?

And way to take a hockey discussion and throw in a personal comment

- Fosco

I do think that Bishop is a better candidate than Schneider, but it's a toss up. I don't think it's "ridiculous" for you to have the opposite opinion. I would have been fine with Schneider on that team.

So overall record means nothing? Rams beat Indy(38-0, so it was close though), lets stick them in the playoffs

If the Cards tie they're 10-5-1. Besides, the Cards don't have to move to the AFC, they just have to play in one of the weaker divisions in the NFC.

I could see why they'd choose Schneider, but I disagree with you that choosing Bishop over Schneider would have been ridiculous.

Meh, gotta play the hand you're dealt. Cards aren't a legit contender until they get a franchise QB IMO. Or they can go the SF/SEA/KC route and build a good o-line with a strong running game to go along with that defense.

But if they lose and Eagles win (nothing is gaurenteed but this seems like the likliest scenerio)they are out. If they lose and could be in the AFC they'd be in. How is this hard to understand
If your implying the AFC is even close to as good as the NFC that's location material

Overall the NFC is far stronger then the AFC. Eagles beat Lions, Bears, Arizona(to use your earlier argument this one settles it)Packers out of Division. Look at Miami. Aside from NE the AFC east is a joke, how about the central. Pathetic again

That's just homerish of you. The record is 34 wins for the NFC and 30 for the AFC. Is that not close enough for you?

Same as the NFC north and East, the NFC east has 4 wins against the AFC.....

I doubt you'll find even one pundit who would pick the AFC over the NFC.
