This is where we really disagree , I think we need first line scoring and secondary scoring will fall in place - VANTEL
Sedins are secondary scorers. |

So we are paying for two first line centres with no sniper. Then we blame the secondary scoring who is out scoring the first line - VANTEL
Where did you get this idea that wingers are only supposed to score?
And several of Santorelli and Kesler's goals came from playing with the Sedins...
So, no, they're not out scoring the 1st line. |

Okay, so since we only offer Hank a contract he demands 8.5. We pay it or we're (frank)ed. Who are we going to sign to replace Danny at 5.5? Seriously, we cannot afford to lose those two or we look an awful lot like Calgary of 2-3 years ago. They are not the problem. - golfingsince
How about we pay a guy like Hank 7 mil and find a Perry type guy pay him 8 mil to battle and put the biscuit in the basket |

Hey guys, Joe Thornton hasn't scored 25 goals since 08/09—the Canucks should lock him up to a $4-million/season contract when he becomes a UFA - Fosco

Yeah, neither of us are gonna convince the other so I'll just agree to disagree with you on this one. At least we agreed on something, I'll take that as a win. |

Lately is too small of a sample size. Look at the NFL, one game playoffs lead to crazy games and more upsets than in the NBA/NHL. Law of averages, things like shooting percentages, puck luck, etc tend to balance out. |

Yeah, no need to get worked up over anyone with a different opinion. I'll agree to disagree with Vantel on this one as I have in the past. Danny is overpaid tough, and Hank is better. |

Whoever is playing with the Sedins.
And they both get a reasonable amount of goals themselves. |

First of all, these guys don't just hit the open market. Secondly, Hank took 7 million to stay since his brother took the same amount. He would ask for much more to play without him.
About the only consistent scorer that hits the UFA market regularly is 43 years old, and BTW i'd still take him on this team. |

Booth Hansen and Kassian have all played with them and none have over 10 combine that with Burros at 0 |

Yes, please! I've been wanting him since the summer he left Philly for Dallas. |

Are you comparing Stamkos to Daniel? If you asked 100 gms would they prefer Daniel I will send you 10 dollars , that's all I can afford

Kassian and Booth have gotten a handful (Kassian less) of shifts, Burrows was notedly hitting posts and missing glorious chances.
Their regular linemates this year have been Kesler, Santorelli, and Hansen... |

I don't see it that way. I think the real problem is since Bert left they've never played with a legit first liner.
I'm pretty sure we can all agree this team is light on top 6 forwards, so IMO getting rid of another isn't the answer. The real problem is Booth is being paid top 6 money and has yet to produce at that level.
I know he has been playing better, but our expectations are also so much lower. |

Not at all
I'm questioning why you think only wingers are supposed to score and centres supposed to get assists.
Just because Daniel is getting more assists than goals doesn't make him a centre. |

Burrows is a fourth liner now, doesn't matter when he comes back, guy is useless.
Kassian and Booth were amazing tonight, love the energy. They play great together, and all they need is a center.

@ Burrows being a 4th liner, you even troll your own fanbase.
I agree that line was good, did ya notice how their best shift came when Santorelli stayed on the ice after Kesler and Higgins went off. Booth and Santorelli have good chemistry. |

Agreed. I liked Kassian and Booth tonight.
But do you think their lack of success the few shifts they've had with the Sedins is the Sedins' fault? |
