Yes, at that point a 3rd liner or bottom 3 defender at most. Can be solved by an entry level deal. Don't forget, the cap is to rise significantly by the time Lu retires. - golfingsince
Yes, but a rising cap means teams can spend more money. What if that $3m is the difference between the Canucks being able to acquire a "David Booth" or a "David Backes". the actual dollar amount, relative to the actual cap isn't what's important, only that the Canucks would be at a disadvantage compared to other high spending teams. Look at the poop they're in now because of the lower (then last year) cap. I think we got pretty lucky with players like Stanton and Santorelli, it could have turned out like Barker and pick one of any of the 100 terrible bottom 6 players we've had over the past few years. |

So the solution is to roll the dice on goaltending now? I just don't buy it. If i'm going to roll the dice on goaltending it's because we've traded Lu for a substantial return. There is no guarantee we'll even be a cap team by the time we have to pay recapture, if in fact we ever do. As I said, it reeks of a panic move. |

The risk is that the longer they go with Luongo, the greater the penalty becomes (because he is still being paid more than his cap hit).
If it wasn't such a big risk, players like Lecavelier wouldn't have been bought out...
For the record, I don't buy that teams won't fight the recapture penalty down the road. |

The absolute worst the penalty can be is 4.2 for 3 years, or 4.3 for 2 years. If it goes to 4 years it's 3.5 per |

What a waste of a day. Wife's car has a frozen starter so she took mine. I was here because we have a water main problem and the plumber and town were coming with the camara and locator. The blockage is under the concrete driveway as it turns out. So driveway is getting torn up. |

Well least you still have your health and that's all that matters. |

Brian Burke running his mouth again, TSN changed their NHL standings page, Ryan O'Reilly with the game winner last night and I've still got another week off. |

Good work, Vantel, I noticed you managed to get a big bump in hits on your Anti-Sedin platform. The banter is good for a laugh. |

Well found out my dog might have Glucoma on Tuesday. So he might not have 100% healthy. Sounds like the town is looking after the water main, driveway etc. And car starter is warrantied.

Ah, but did Yahoo change their stats, that's all that really matters. Good matchup this week, my goalies are definitely over performing. |

Just remember a bullet & a new pooch is way cheaper than a vet bill , but if you live in a city, I've got methods that don't draw as much attention |

My dog had cancer removed from his mouth almost 2 years ago best $1000 I spent. He is 12 and going strong. Something to be said about a good dog. |

Cancer got my 15 year old Jack Russel two years ago. The dog cost me several thousand dollars which I'm still paying with no regrets and I still miss the little guy like it was yesterday. |

The vet thinks we got it in time(hope he's right) He's a great dog. He's only 6 so he's fairly young as well. My little girl loves both of our dogs like crazy as well. I also think my other dog wouldgo crazy without him. My 2 dogs are a step behind being my kids. |
