My question to you is.... was he ever great? He is a gritty, make room for your linemates, get an occasional dirty goal player. What he has been and what is expected of him is a 40-50 pt player that gets under the other teams skin and provides screens. Thats what he is doing and is on pace for. Dont expect him to get 37 goals anymore. He is more or less a product of his linemates success. He will not do these things on his own. Much like Kunitz in Pitt. Without Crosby Kunitz doesnt even flirt with his current numbers. - GOA88
over a full season, crosby would make kunitz mid 30s in goals and maybe 65 to 70 points.
but without crosby, kunitz is a solid nhl player in his own right. no, maybe not a point per game guy, but he would be a regular 20 to 25 goal scorer who plays a gritty two way game. solid guy for sure. |

Same here -- Sweet Mother of God. What was it, politics yesterday or the day before, race today...UGH.
Flyers need to make a trade or play Rosehill on the top line or Giroux not score for 5 or 6 games...anything to make people talk about hockey instead of that other crap

The Pens are beating the Rags senseless, which due to the standings, is the lesser of two evils. The Blackhawks need to turn up the heat and put the Devils down for the count |

Blackhawks getting the job done too -- proving, as always, it's sure as hell better to be in a playoff spot rather than trying to catch somebody else. Rags and Devs had to take on two of the top 5 teams in the league just to attempt to get into a tie for eighth and are getting nothing and liking it |

Hey, OB, if you're around, have you been able to watch Laughton at all in the World Juniors? Or Leier, if he's been playing?
Work's been crushing me and the games haven't aligned at all with my sked, but it'd be nice to know how those guys look against the kind of talent they're facing.

In a keeper, where all players would be kept....
Ryan Johansen and PK Subban
or
Landeskog and Fowler
(centers get a lot of points in this league; faceoff wins are a category) |

Hard but id say go with Ryan Johansen and PK. PK can really put up points. I believe more than Fowler will be able too. Not a bash on Fowler btw. And for the forwards I would say that Landeskog is better than Johansen but not by enough to warrant a trade. Ryan Johansen is playing really well and seems like he is progressing nicely. Try a Landeskog for Johansen deal. |
