Not to be a douche but...it's been a while since Kesler put up 1st line productivity numbers...hasn't it?

He's always been a 4-5-6 second line center/winger.

Does that mean the Oilers have no first line players?

Good play Hansen. Not a chance you could ever catch up to Willie (frank)ing Mitchell.

Trolling combined with lack of intelligence isn't a great combo. Ask prockster

Well, we have players that play on the first line, but they have yet to consistently produce at the expected level of a 1st liner, no.

So, if Kesler was playing in Toronto, on the first line, he would be a first line C?

I bet playing with Kessel would help his point totals.

Why is this becoming a Oilers comparison? I just don't see Kesler as a 1st line player. I like his 2-way game, but he simply doesn't produce at that level anymore. Does he make every team in the NHl better? Yes....as long as he isn't miscast.

He isn't a first liner here, he centres the second line

I guess he would be, much like Bozak, who plays on the first line, but is more like a miscast 3rd line Center. Kesler is better than Bozo tho.

Agreed, playing him in a bottom 9 role would be ineffective.

They were talking about him being the TML's 1st line Center. Good player, great addition, but not at 1C.
