I guess he would be, much like Bozak, who plays on the first line, but is more like a miscast 3rd line Center. Kesler is better than Bozo tho.

He's miscased and way overpaid but i like bozak

Agreed, playing him in a bottom 9 role would be ineffective.

Why is this becoming a Oilers comparison? I just don't see Kesler as a 1st line player. I like his 2-way game, but he simply doesn't produce at that level anymore. Does he make every team in the NHl better? Yes....as long as he isn't miscast.
- Jeropotato

That's fair - he's also been injured for the past two years. He'd be an excellent second line center/winger on 90% of NHL teams.

They were talking about him being the TML's 1st line Center. Good player, great addition, but not at 1C.
- Jeropotato

He would be Toronto's best center by default.

Well Toronto has a 3 rd line center playing 1st line,so anything would be an improvement

Or, if traded to Toronto, he coullllld attempt to live in Bozak's shadow as a second line C, but those are hard shoes to follow, ultimately the stress and limelight would get to him.

Kesler's never been a #1 C. He has always been an elite shutdown C with offensive upside.

Gardiner's never been a top 6 defense man. He has always been an elite #7 defense man with offensive upside.

Well we know the only player worth trading for in TO is Gardiner and he is untouchable

Why would they even contemplate disbanding that proven, championship caliber core.

Signing Dion long term was the final touch!

I think the Vatican had less to do with the Phaneuf signing than Elisha Cuthbert.

No kidding, I'd even consider playing in the toxic frozen tundra known as Edmonton for a chick like that

As I said earlier I could go either way on this game. Safeties got burned to much, but surprisly both defenses played well considering who they were up against.

Well considering she was a beard for Avery, maybe she's one for Dion. Maybe she's a nun

Yeah the Saints really struggle to score away from home. Something like 15 less points per game. Over 400 yds but a couple of costly turnovers. Regardless, they're done next week.
