Holy balls for snow. Almost 2ft in the past 36 hours and another ft in the next 24. Driving conditions are about as solid as Dions defense coverage - Bieksa#3
We could really use some of that snow up in Whistler. It's been a dry start to the ski season to say the least. I just did a 10 day trip in the BC interior to get some decent snow. |

I'm sure if u can find a way to get it there, people here would give it up without much of a argument.

Btw Erickson recalled - Bieksa#3
About the same age for me.
Probably for the best about Ericksson.
Laurie looked mighty uncomfortable on the bench—was fight'n the pine all night.

What a sad weekend for the Canucks. Glad I didn't spend $ on the big trip to Cali, like many Nucks fans did.
The team played 40 minutes of hockey in total over the weekend. I have never seen such bad 2nd periods back to back in my life before. Embarrassing...
The teams inability to hold a lead is bad. And the inability to even clear the d zone under pressure is sad.
I hope whats left of the team is feeling shame after that performance. - moondawg
Especially Bieska and Sedin (Daniel?) with that awful giveaway in OT. |

Apparently WPG is listening to offers on Wheeler.
Would love to get a guy like him in the Canucks top 6. Probably easier to acquire than Kane.
Although, I think a few on here might classify him as a "pillow biter." |

DCT and Vantel have a point though, I really hope that the next top 6 forward Gillis acquires(whenever that might be), is not a "pillow biter". |

That CHRISMS guy must be Kunitz himself or his mother. Holy smokes, I swear I can see his tears running down the monitor. Along with the spit from him yelling at us - Bieksa#3

Fair enough. Obviously you'd want any player coming in to have some grit.
I personally wouldn't classify him as one—the early knock that he doesn't use his size seems to be a thing of the past and he puts up decent hit totals, at least this season.
Just know that he used to have a reputation of being soft for his size.
Great skater, can shoot AND pass, and is young and signed long term to a decent contract.
I'd rather MG go after a player like this than a rental, but obviously the cost would be higher.
I think he'd fit great in the Canucks top 6 and would cost less than Kane. |

Ok, I have been a die hard Canucks fan forever. I have always supported anyone that has worked to give the team a chance to win, Gilis, Tortorella, Luongo......I am not one of those boo birds that enjoys pissing all over Gillis etc... My question: how many 'punches to the gut' losses can this team take? At the halfway point in the season, I think you get a pretty good idea of what you've got for a team. This team, I think it's fair to say, does not have what it's going to take to push for the Cup. Assuming that's the goal at the beginning of the season, its time to find what we need to win: bigger, harder to play against, and more scoring. Do the Aquilinis want to win...the Cup? Time for some 'bold moves' Mr Gillis. I don't include changing the coach as one of them. Time to walk the walk. Go Canucks go! |
