A lot of people I talked to that work rigs don't smoke pot cause it lasts to long in your system so they turned to coke cause it lasts a week or so.
Random fact- 4 people tried a home invasion on a MMA fighter in new mexico guy wasn't that famous 1W 4L joe Torrez is his name. He killed one, the guy had multiple stab wounds to the stomach and blunt force trauma to the head and another one had severe facial injuries. The other two were arrested a short while later. I guess there was something that happened on new years eve between the people involved so the 4 men just showed up at his house. His kid gf and a family member were there at the time of the incident. He could face charges for the murder but no charges laid as of yet. |

Nope I agree... lots of times theres no incentive to actually report something.. too much hassel and paperwork.
Welder is a tough job, but you are basically responsible for yourself. Me being an operator, Im responsible for anyone working in my unit, so I gotta have that little voice in my head, but if Im dealing experienced workers, Im certainly not gonna bother them, they know how to do their job, as Im sure you do too - robin_steele264
I would to for sure if I was an operator. People think its an easy job. Its not and there is a lot of stress plus you have a lot of people hurt if something was to go wrong and its all on you. There is down time like any job. Really got to know you stuff. |

Yeah... its certainly not as labor intensive as other trades can be... but you get asked a lot of questions every day and 'I don't know' is an unacceptable answer... even if you really don't know!

true that got a friend that does it 2. Makes good money might not be as much as some trades but there is barely any overhead. Plus he said on a slow day he can go fishing or quadding without worry. |

Being happy at work is better than any pay cheque. A few ?s hockey wise. Think Smyth retires after this year? Is Dubnyk that bad or on a bad team? Can this team really get better if know one wants to come here even if offered more money or ice time? If so then the only way is the draft but I think the draft picks in the last few years could be damaged from all the losing. Its hard to see this team in the playoffs in the next two years which is sad, cant take much more of this. I honestly think if this team really had heart and wanted to play that this roster wouldn't be in the playoffs but wouldn't be a laughing stock. Changing a coach or GM or trade players isn't going to help till the players here give 100% every night like the top teams in the league |

Smyth is done.
Dubnyk is a backup
Some players will come play here... Edmonton isn't the only city that has issues attracting UFA's
The young guys aren't damaged from losing, they're sick of it.
Its frustrating but its not as bad as it seems... If the Oilers played in the east they might be in the playoffs now... West is a war zone... They'll get there though

I still say it will take over two years or till we have a top d man. If we take the draft pick its good for the future but everyone has waited long enough. There is also the chance that the trade fails. They're sick of losing? Wouldn't that be the case three years ago. Its and Olympic year and every team that is good is playing like it is the playoffs which is hurting the weaker teams. The thing I like is some players came here and got better Ference has been decent especially if he played were he is suppose to. Perron is better with a more offence coach. Though Hitchcock had a lot to do with his development. He is a fan favorite early in his Oiler career and his name is never brought up in a trade same with Gordon who is more mature and his game shows it, doesn't have a lot or any to do with Eakins I think for him. Gazdic and his two goals are a plus also his fights have changed games, Yak hasn't been worse since the sword fight. Wish the young guns were more together like Gazdic and Yak were, think it would improve Yaks game. Maybe Eakins deserves a little credit for some good things but I think his down sides are worse which is to many to name. Eakins will get at least till xmas time next year (don't think he should). As for the east/west thing I know Detroit hasn't been great but they will always be good will be nice to only see them in the finals if ever. I think Dubnyk is hung out to dry a lot and a back up that was capable of winning some games took to long, his confidence was gone. The Oilers out shot almost double most games don't want to be like Toronto and rely on are goalie so much. If Toronto didn't have two good goalies I guarantee the starter would be throwing his stick in the air and skating warp speed of the ice after a terrible loss like Bryz |

Hall can't deke a Dman out. If he gets past them with a chip great, but he seems to get burned everytime he tries a damn through the legs selfie (yup, I went there. It's mine now suckas) to get around a Dman who easily poke checks his slow-ass junior move. I want Hallsy on the team, even if he's just on the bench, but can easily see why he's not making the roster, and maybe not even the taxi squad. Next time.

First Line - Steven Stamkos-Sidney Crosby-Martin St. Louis
Second Line - Matt Duchene-Claude Giroux/John Tavares
Third Line - Jamie Benn-Ryan Getzlaf-Corey Perry
Fourth Line - Jonathan Toews-Patrice Bergeron-Patrick Sharp
extras - James Neal-Taylor Hall
First Pair - Duncan Kieth Shea Weber
Second Pair - Alex Pietroangelo Drew Doughty
Third Pair - Jay Bouwmiester P.K Subban
extras - Brent Seabrook-Mark Giordano
Starter - Carey Price
Back-up - Mike Smith
Third String - Roberto Luongo - Habs_Headquarts
so when asked in 2010 babcock, the same guy coaching this team, who was his best forward, his answer was "whoever is playing with toews""
toews voted best forward in 2010 olympics
and you have him delegated to the fourth line

Toews on the left wing?? Third line? I'd put him as 2nd line C without issue. and Tavares as 3rd. Rather have Bergy on 4th, if at all. |

Is he? He's probably not a terrible 4th line W choice.
He drives possession, solid in zone entries and zone exits, and the worst you can say about him is that he's only offensively able anymore to put up 25-30 points . He's rebounded in a big way since the centre fiasco imo.
To put it in perspective, he's got the same point totals as Morrow in St Louis and everyone was going bonkers to acquire him. |

Please tell me your talking about this year... cause if he is on next years team we are doomed!! Smyth is not physical enough for this team... We need someone to punish the opposition... not bear hug |

I don't see the need to bring players along so that they can see what it takes to be apart of Team Canada. We aren't the Ukraine. You take the best players available and be done with.
We will always have some of the best players in the world so no need to bring guys along for a ride. |

If Smyth plays the way he does next year the way he is now he would be a cheap valuable option for this club. |

Is there any word on if Harti would be back in the fold for next year? |

He is too (frank)ing slow IMO... for the 4th line there needs to be energy... I could see Jones gone, hope Smyth is gone- get 2 new faces in there- Pitlick and Harti would be fine by me... Or move them up to 3rd line and get Lander and Gazdic and....____ |

I haven't heard a lick about him this year. To be honest I don't really miss him, I think Gazdic has done more than Harti did. Of course Harti has a lot more potential, but unless he learns to skate better and bring more offense it doesn't mean much. |
