I dont think Giroux is that big of a snub. No way he makes it as my center over Getzlaf, Crosby, Tavares, or P Bergeron on my 4th line. They want size/speed on the wing. So be it.
- Just5
I'm coming in late, but that's how I see it. They clearly picked the wingers based on size and shooting; we'll see how it works out for them.
I would've taken Giroux, but what can you do?

I don't think any Flyers fan likes Sid. We respect him, but no one likes him. - PhillySportsGuy
How can you not respect a guy that eats, breathes, and lives his job 24 hours/day?
I totally respect him for that.
The only reason I don't "like" him is because he doesn't wear orange/black. |

Not really a good reason imo...
I do not respect J-aims Knee-l. I do not respect Matt Cooke. I do not respect Jesse Boulerice. I do not respect Raffi Torres. |

It was a done deal, Jagr was back on the Flyers after a handshake agreement...until he said, "See you guys at the Olympics." |

The worst thing that can happen tonight is having the Devils score first early in the game. |

I think if the Flyers can score the first goal and hold the lead for 5 minutes, it will really kill the will of the Devils. They have had a lot of trouble scoring lately. |

I thought you didn't believe in science? I kid I kid - PhillySportsGuy
Hmm. Not sure what that is supposed to mean. I'm a conservative, not a republican. I don't let religious beliefs interfer with my government views. For example I could give 2 poops about gay marriage. IMO governement shouldnt be involved in anyones marriage... straight or gay. I dont give a crap about birth control.
I grew up Catholic, and believe it or not, the Catholic Church does believe in evolution and a spiritual interpertation of the bible. They teach it in our schools. I once asked our Bishop why they dont talk about it chuch and only in school and he told me because the older generation would find it hard to accept the change in thier beliefs so they are teaching it to the younger generations that way it will be easier to change later... when the older generation is gone.
So on both fronts.... I am very huge into science and will likely be a science teacher or a history teacher when I get back into teaching. Or Math. You better hope I dont become a literature teacher and make the future generations read Animal Farm instead of Catcher in the Rye.
Ok... Religion...check. Politics... check. Might as well add, Go Penguins to piss off anyone I havent already.... and to include hockey in this post. |

EDIT: Animal Farm though- great book. One of the only ones worthy of a "I would read this again" seal from me that we read in school. And I hate reading |

Solid post. I share a lot of the same views.
And both are excellent books. Ever read Jack London's The Iron Heel? If not, think about giving it a go.
But a question: Does human activity contribute to a changing environment? |
