Truly pathetic display of hockey that period.

Honestly one of the worst period of hockey I've seen this season.

Coming out of this down only by 1 would be a minor miracle

That period was slightly less exciting than watching paint dry.

They should make the prisoners at Gitmo watch hours of uninterrupted Devils games. Now THAT would be torture. After 2 games they'd beg for waterboarding!

Although the flyers played a sad first period.. the style of play that NJ employs sucks the life our of the game.. It's painful to watch and the Flyers also have zero idea how to counter it..

You know if it weren't for a post on twitter, I did not realize Vinny Lecavalier was playing lol. I didn't hear or see him once throughout the entire period

I expect nothing but a goal from Jagr today and the subsequent pens troll saying how he made G two seasons ago.

he didnt make giroux by any means. it certainly helped having a better winger on the line, but that applies to any center.

Totally agree.. is it bad that I don't really miss watching Flyers games when they play NJ? I wonder if the 1-0 lead will hold up.. probably..

i told you guys before. thats just how the NBC crew is. granted when the pens play it usually is crosby, but they do it for all of their games. they have a predetermined player/concept that they have a hard on for, and everything else is pretty much secondary.

I don't think jagr even did anything special that period. some of the clips that they keep showing nothing special is happening and he's possessing the puck because the flyers are standing around with no life than him doing anything. I understand he's a great player who is great on the puck, but come on.

Yeah we start on a Friday.

They decided to give us off for MLK Day. So they have to put that day somewhere. So instead of tacking it on at Spring Break, we tacked it on as the first day of the semester.
