5-1 road trip. Not too shabby.
Now to extend the 9 game home winning streak tomorrow night!
Last Flyers home loss was 2 months ago. - PLindbergh31
awesome trip ... I doubt any of us thought they could do pull that off.

7 points would have been more than acceptable. They got 10.
Team has weaknesses, most teams do. After the first month, I didn't envision this type of turnaround. They are an entertaining team to watch again. |

Big props tonight to Brayden Schenn and Jake Voracek, both had very strong games. I also thought that Luke Schenn played very well too. - BiggE
I thought Giroux play well. Threw a couple hits that seemed to spark the team, and a nice goal.

In a good way, I am really surprised.
They seemed to have let the reins go a little and while the goaltending has suffered slightly, the offensive production has increased.
More than anything, at least they are fun to watch again. That rough stretch at the start was some of the most boring hockey I've ever seen. The dream-matchup is Pittsburgh in the playoffs. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but the number #2 and#3 teams from each division play each other and then #1's play wild card teams |

Hartsy had a good game. A goal, drew some penalties and wasn't a liability. Nice screen on G's goal as well. He has his hustle gear back. |

Yeah all those 2 goals or less games one after another was tough to watch.
Goaltending has dipped a little bit, but they had to open things up a bit to start generating some offense. |

Hartnell has definitely picked up his game the last couple of weeks.
He might be an asset to this team after all.

He's been a pleasant surprise. I think eventually he'll find his way back on the line with Giroux and Voracek. Raffl has done a nice job, but he's not a first line player. Raffl can be an NHL regular I think, he does some nice things. |

His return to being a bastard has been a huge help to this team. He's got to be out there wreaking havoc and running into goalies... |

This was the game Giroux needed to have. Hurt by his Olympic snub, he sat quietly on the bench before the game and reflected. He gathered himself, went out, and had a hell of a game, scoring the tying goal for his team. That's a leader. |

funny, but I think we would be better against the Pens if Lavy was coach, although lousy against the Devils and Rangers and other teams.
Under Berube I think it will be a tough go against the Pens, but we stand a MUCH better shot vs the other teams we might encounter. |

Where the hell does lecavalier fit?
I still like raffl on the top line. He does some serious gritty work. He seems to create the most space for jake and fraude |

Coots hasn't been playin his best lately. Dare I suggest
Voracek - giroux -raffl
Simmer - schenn - harts
Read - vinny - downie
Hall - coots - rinaldo
I don't think it will happen but def gives a more responsible 4th line |

I just don't see the upside with him... oops.
(I guess it's Cooter's turn to get traded for Yandle/Byfuglien/Weber/Yakupov again) |
