A few guys on twitter suggesting there is a bit of a buzz about Evander to the Canucks. Apparently we are offering Hansen and Tanev as part of the package. I doubt that's enough to get it done. Would at least have to be a first rounder thrown in there.

Id do it, maybe leave gaunce out if possible. But we need a guy like evander kane. Maybe make a move involving edler for a younger top 6.

I would also make a move for cammaleri, not a crazy package but with those 2 guys added. I would put us in a whole upper echelon category

I'm sick of the Sedins losing battles, having 1 hand on the stick...they just aren't the players they used to be. They are back to being second line players.

Just got back home and saw the boxscore. Did we seriously have a 4-2 lead with 72 seconds left to play in regulation and still manage to lose this game?

This is becoming a seriously disturbing trend...

Kane, if available will go the highest bidder and I'm betting a 3rd of the league will make a serious offer since both rebuilding and contending teams will be interested. I'm not a fan of rentals, but if you want a realistic, "all-in" plan:

poop the bed, two games in a row. The one against the ducks hurt, this one is worse.

I don't usually complain about the refs, but they should have made a call with a couple of minutes left that would have iced it. Eddie Lack should have had the third goal, but he didn't.

This team is not a contender, 8th seed at best.

Given how hot Simmonds has been of late and how mediocre Edler's numbers are this season (and that was before his month long injury hiatus) a straight swap at the deadline would be about right.

Burke pushed for so long to allow salary to be traded and now that it's an option it's done hardly anything.

Too much emphasis on the draft and locking up young players long term. Would love to see the league drop the RFA status and simply extend ELCs by a year or two.

So apparently Detroit's Edler offer was Brendan Smith, Tomas Tatar, and Riley Sheahan, and Gillis wanted 3 of Nyquist, 1st, Smith, Tatar from what I've read.
