I predict Kunitz with 6 goals tonight and Crosby with no assists.

Not gonna happen. Hamhuis only plays as a shutdown d
- Bieksa#3

You don't see him as a the #6? Calm, cool, collected and paired with a guy he has experience playing with?

This pool actually scares me a little bit. Hopefull Finland plays their asse$ off. I don't want this teams first real test to come in an elimination round game.

Doughty and Keith are the go to pair

AP and Boumeester are the shutdown pair

Weber and subban are the 3rd pairing

As good as Subban is he makes me nervous.

Yeah, Finns, right, but overall pretty weak pool was what I remembered.

A few surprises on the final lineup. Quite a few of the "bubble" players made it, I guess that means a few of the "sure things" didn't...

I think we have to stop looking at it as pairings. They will be situational IMO. If you dress 7 D they will likely all play. Need guys that are going to play the PP, the PK, get you a lead, defend a lead.

Surprised Stevie Y left his buddy St.Louis off. I was pretty confident that Hamhuis and Vlasic would make it, especially after MacKenzie said that they were hoping to take 4 lefites and 4 righties. Also surprised Giroux got left off, but I kinda was hoping they would for selfish reasons. He'll be pissed and hopefully rip it up from here on out.

Couture, if healthy should be on the team.

I wonder if they'll actually dress an extra forward, or just go with all 8 defensemen. Remember that you can dress 20.

I sure as hell hope the Swiss aren't in the same division. Canada always seems to have problems with the Swiss

I agree the Giroux should unquestionably there and same for STL

I though Colture was a bubble player, and the injury burst that bubble

Regarless of the pairings, Subban on the PP will be awesome. Subban in his own end, in a close game raises my blood pressure.

I think he'll be fine. He's a great skater which is a major plus on the international ice

Stamkos is not guaranteed to be 100% (looks promising though) and there are still a potential for a couple of injuries between now and then.

How lost will Kunitz look out there if Crosby goes down?

Subban will be fine, but yeah he'll probably be better off paired with a Vlasic/Hamhuis IMO.
