Seabrook was awful in 2010. Started in the top 4 but got to the point where babcock refused to use him - Bieksa#3
Clearly Babcock didn't want him on the team again.
He barely played Bergeron, I'm surprised he brought him back. I don't get all the hype for him, he's an average hockey player imo. |

Yep. 3ft now in less than 3 days. -40 with win chill. 60km/hour winds. Every single road within 50km of me shut down. Its bad - Bieksa#3
Check the records for biggest snow falls in Canada, in 1996 we had 5 ft in 36hrs.
The west coast gets the biggest snow falls but they only come once in a generation. |

A little late to the party but...
very happy for Hamhuis, Sharp, and Duchene
In the wtf category - Giroux, Marleau? (over St. Louis?) Vlasic over Seabass?
Edit: Rick Nash - OVER.RATED. - Zogg
Jeff Carter was my only surprise making the team. Not making the team is Giroux you have to go with the hot hand. |

That's because Bergeron was injured when the tournament started. |

The biggest is Wiarton Ontario apparently. Over 2ft(29") in less then 24hrs. In the 70's I believe |

I'm not surprised he's on the team. He's a pure goal scorer in case Stamkos isn't fit. |

Bergeren and sharp see both uber penalty killers. A lot of high end players kill penalties but aren't very good at it. Bergeren is also a huge big game player |

Carter making the team was the biggest surprise. I personally would have left Kunitz and Marleau off as well. Instead of those 3 I would have taken Mike Richards, Claude Giroux and Logan Couture. |

Sharp isn't killing many penalties this season, but he's pretty decent. I would have had Couture on the team since he's also a decent PK'er. Apparently Carter is one of LA's PK'ers so I guess that's why he made it. |

Yeah it wasn't that bad in the lower mainland. I remember it though. We left for Nevada on boxing day, I counted 65 cars in the ditch on one side of the road in 1 hour. |

Couture was on my list as the final player till his injury. I'd leave him and take Seguin |

I also agree about Carter - I would have preferred someone like St. Louis or Coutoure (who is much more versatile than Carter - who is basically one dimensional)
With respect to Giroux, yes, he had a very bad start to the season but lately he's been close to getting back to last year's form (amazing, if you had said he would not be on the team back in the summer, you would have been called a heretic and burned at the stake)
As for Seabass, if you are going to go with the 'hot' hand, it seems he's having a very good year (I would probably take him over Vlasic)
Lastly, I would definitely have taken Coutoure over Marleau |

Still don't really understand why we can't/don't send 2 teams... Every other Olympic event can have multiple qualifiers. Why not hockey? Not saying both would be contenders for Gold, but our "B" team could beat a few of the "A" teams that'll be there. Then anything can happen once the tourney begins. |

Yes, he didn't have the greatest tournament, that's for sure. However, it looks like he's really picked up his game this year (and it would have been a no brainer to put him and Keith together) |

That's not true. If he was injured he wouldn't have gone.
