I hate flyers medical staff. I know concussions are sometimes finicky but really?!? This has happened more than once with something that seemed minor actually being a terrible concussion. ugh.

It's not the medical staffs fault. Read hasn't played since the injury and will be held out until he's symptom free. What else are they supposed to have done?

Their is no test, MRI, Xray you can get that says "This person has a concussion"
All they can do is report on what they think the information tells them and that is predicated on the player being honest. Not in anyway saying Read hid things but concussions can be vague.

How many times have we seen a guy helped off the ice with his knee bent 3 different ways only to be told that he's day to day with an upper body injury?

I'm still waiting to hear "Jonesy was mildly decapitated last night, we're listing him day to day and we'll see how he looks at practice tomorrow"

I got a concussion and I can see why it causes depression. It allows you to do nothing. You don't want to eat, you can't sleep, you can't talk to people, you can't read, you can't watch tv. All you do is sit in a dark room until symptoms go away. Mine only lasted a few days, but I really feel for the guys who have long term symptoms.

Yeah the Philly feed is unbelievably bad. Are they still trying to cram Santa Sacks down your throat during every stoppage (as opposed to actually showing replays and breaking down the play of the game).
