Question for everybody on here. Would you trade Niskanen to the Avs for McGinn straight up? Gives the Pens a good bottom 6 guy, gives the Avs the top 4 PMD they are looking for.

Absolutely not. A top-4 PMD's value is much higher than a bottom forward. Only way Nisk is getting traded is if its for a second line player. At this point though, i dont ser Nisk getting traded because he's been our only steady d-man all season.

Landeskog is the Avs captain and a top 6 guy. He's playing with Sid of he was traded for. Bolland was just traded to his hometown and is a center which we don't need. Stoll is also a center. The only name that sounds ok is mcginn

I havent heard anything but if I was a betting man I would say that you will be getting Zatkoff. I could be wrong.

Can Sutter play wing?

As bad as the Penguins bottom 6 are, they have some time to fix it. There's not a chance in hell they slip out of 1st in the division. They should pick up a good bottom 6 player or two (Ott, for example) at the TDL instead of chasing the big fish, and go into the playoffs with at least 3 solid lines, and hope MAF's...well, not himself.

How about Toews? Think they could pick him up for some picks? Maybe grab Hall and Eberle for a few prospects.

Honestly I think this is overblown. Injuries have caused the lines to be a jarbled mess all year. Get Megna and Bennett back, waive (frank)ing useless Pyatt and all of a sudden the bottom 6 is better.

Then the 4th line can be the 4th line instead of the 3rd. If Shero wants to go out and get a banger i'm fine with it. But I don't think any major shake ups are necessary, especially ones that involve trading Despres.

The Dupuis injury is a killer. It forces Shero to make a move. If Dupuis were healthy it could be argued the Penguins could make things work with what they have within the organization. I don't believe they can do that now if they want to be serious Cup contenders.

It's actually closer to Toews than to Hall and Eberle! At least Hall and Ebs are slightly older, non captains on a bad team. But yeah, he's absolutely untouchable.

He's naturally a center. He doesn't work too well on the wing. He will also probably get 6 mil/year for who knows how long. Have you watched any avalanche games or just think he will be good on the pens because of his point totals.

I don't mind Sill with better players than Pyatt and Glass and/or Vitale. I think Glass-Vitale-Adams is fine as a 4th line. I would at least like to see how Sill would look with Sutter and Megna.

There is risk, his sample size is small. Hell, Bennett and Megna's sample size is small.

All I know is I watched the Hawks game last night, and although they lost a game i never would have guessed they would have their 3rd line of Shaw, Bickell and Saad was like a wet dream.

Best players being the best players. I was actually encouraged looking at Mirtle's article the other day about 4th lines, and comparing how much we are using our "4th line" to other teams.

That's a nice 3rd line. It also comes with the trade off of having Michael Handzus and Kris Versteeg on a "2nd line"
