I think you guys know, if you ever read my stuff, that I've never laid it all on Therrien. I lobbied for him to win the Jack Adams award for most of last season.
You don't have to be paid to analyze hockey to see what's happening between him and his players right now. - EricEngels

Isn't Price also nursing a slight groin injury? Why pull Budaj.....it's not as if he's a goal scorer. - stormey
Last minute of the game, you know when they put an extra skater on the ice to try and score a goal.
Do the jets switch goalies in the last minutes of the game? |

If and when Mike is gone as the head coach - do you think MB will go out and get a French coach or do you think he will go out and get the best available coach? - MTL1
whether you like it or not, or even whether you think it makes sense or not, there is no way in hell Bergevin in his right mind would allow the Cunneyworth debacle to take place again.
as for the rest, this is still a poopty team, and I think Therrien and his staff worked wonders with with what they have. Doesn't matter what you, Engels or Westisland690 think about it.
I think Bergevin's mindset as always been to be patient and build through the draft. Let's be honest for a second. Big, talented forwards don't come easy. Teams who have those will keep them, or ask a ridiculous price for them (that's why Kane is still in Winnipeg).
This team is not at one or two moves of being a serious contender. So instead of wasting picks or prospects on rental players, I'd rather see Bergevin stay the course with his plan. |

They're just not a very good team. They may get hot from time to time but overall, they are still a team that should finish 7-10th in the conference. |

outside of a streak that saw them win 19 of 20 points, they were .500 before that, they've been .500 since. - EricEngels
so then it's safe to say that even with great goaltending, they're a .500 team. actually, sub .500 when you factor in OT/SO loss. |

No, no they are a 950 team and at their worst a 500 team, except when they are worse then that is not counted. |

FYI, they'd be much better with a different coach behind the bench...
It was like that with Carbonneau, it was like that with Martin and it'S now like that with Therrien.
Somehow, it's never the collection of (frank)ing losers that are on the ice that is in question, but the coaching staff. |

Coaches last what a hundered games now before people start calling for their heads.
I wonder when they will realize that you can't have a team full of soft players that disappear when the other team uses a bit of muscle on them. |

I have yet to see a single person in any EE threads say that we have a good roster. Everyone knows the roster sucks. The question is whether or not we have the right coach to develop our young players so that we don't suck forever. Therrien's INCREDIBLE track record of player development suggests that God himself could not do a better job. |

The guy constructing this collection of losers also deserves some scrutiny. I'm less and less impressed with MB as time goes on.
That said, I will say that I think the pieces on this team are better than the previous editions who played under Carbo (whom I wouldn't have fired), Martin (whom I absolutely would have fired), or Cunneyworth (who shouldn't have been hired). I don't think that MT's style of play and management style are playing to his players' strengths. But that's me.

Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Fleury and Staal left pittsburgh because of Therrien. Give your head a shake, PK is next. |

Are calling it that simply because it's an English language station? Because apart from that, I don't see anything about TSN that makes it worthy of that nickname.
