Draft?
- VANTEL

We're going to do a draft for the players on the teams folding that will include current players on the FA list and players who will be drafted in the 2014 NHL draft.

Draft position will be based on standings.

EDIT: teams that don't want to make changes can also pass on their picks.

Ok, he mentioned he might not be able to continue a while back, but then seemed to be setting a regular lineup again.

I'd rather not fold more than two teams, but I guess if we have to we can go to 16.

Chompsey said he wants to keep his team, but also seems to disappear occasionally—haven't noticed recently.

I also have someone to take over a team who I know will participate, if we have an odd number of managers wanting to quit.

I'll try to email/PM the guys who don't check the board often.

Sounds good, I think 18 teams would be a good number

Berra single handedly lost me the SV% and GAA categories this week.

Finally got rid of him, was gonna drop him next week if I didn't move him.

Thanks for offering him to be for Shaw.

Yahoo should really add a feature like that. What always screws me over is that it resets your lineup for the next day and beyond if you make trade or add/drop so if you set your lineup a week in advance than go add a player, your entire lineup gets reset for that week.
- Nucker101

It's ridiculous. ESPN does it in football if i'm not mistaken. Takes them out for bye weeks.

Yeah, outside of Pressers, CCGH, Chompsey and DP, everyone's been keeping up pretty good. Since you have one replacement lined up, we can probably find another one so that way only 2 teams fold, just gotta make sure the 2 replacement guys are hockey nerds with enough free time like the rest of us.

Last second desperation. The guys I got offered for him I would probably drop anyways. Matthias, Hansen, etc was what I was offered.

Yup, unless a pool is found that will automatically change your starting lineup to reflect the schedule I don't want any part of it.

That was my ideal number originally, but I didn't want to turn guys away.

I figured it would whittle down to 18, and that we'd know those guys were keen.

I play fantasy football on ESPN(some nice extra income ), they don't do that unfortunately. But I don't play in hockey pools on their site so it might be an option there. Yahoo is better for hockey though.

The only reason I started Reimer was to get one last start out of him, he's gone tomorrow.

So it was made aware to me that only 4 of 16 teams in the east have a positive goal differential.

I'm usually pretty busy aside from December-March. Even then, I have days where I can't get there on time. Also, I missed the draft so it caused a lack of interest from the get go.

Yeah, he's a dedicated poolie.

Likes making trades.

He's willing to take a team now, but I don't want to take anyone's team away without knowing their intentions for next year, and I definitely want to drop two teams, so there has to be a third.

I don't see the harm in letting him take over right now for Booner or GS. GS is probably the better bet since he's out for sure, did Booner officially drop out as well? Gives the new guy a chance to make trade for some draft picks and young players. Is he from HF or someone you know?

Unless Golfing changes his mind, it looks like the two teams folding are set, I'll post a message on the board so people know what to expect for the draft next season.
- Fosco

I'll pick up the better of the two teams. If you allow that sort of thing.

Haven't heard from Booner. We don't chat much.

But I assumed he was done considering he's been absent from pretty much day one.

I want to make sure there's another team folding before I give away a team, because I really think we need to cut to 18, so I don't want to be stuck at 19.

I guess we could find someone to take both teams, but I know a few of the bottom feeders were banking on picking a few players off the folded teams.

(frank)ing auto pick drafted me 3 QBs in the first 5 rounds! Brady, Stafford and Kaepernick.
