We're going to do a draft for the players on the teams folding that will include current players on the FA list and players who will be drafted in the 2014 NHL draft.
Draft position will be based on standings.
EDIT: teams that don't want to make changes can also pass on their picks. - Fosco
A question I have is: if a manager selects a new player and drops a player, do they become immediately available or does the player go on waivers? |

(frank)ing auto pick drafted me 3 QBs in the first 5 rounds! Brady, Stafford and Kaepernick. - Nucker101
Yeah I missed one of my football pool drafts too. At least my buddy who had a few good QB's traded me Brees out of pity. In my other pool I had Brees and Rodgers. Still finished 2nd depite Brees poor play at the end and Rodgers injury. |

Depends, if Fosco does alive draft you have to decide who you want t keep beforehand and how many picks you want to use. If Fosco is doing a manual draft then I guess he chooses how everything works. |

Leafs 10th place, 12th by the end of the weekend, you read it here first.
edit: 2 regulation wins in their last 24 games |

I was supposed to be in the pool this year but I couldn't make the draft. That said I missed the first 5 rounds of my other pool's draft and I've never been higher than 6th all season. Drafting 2 Oilers in your top 5 rounds is brutal. |

I understand it's tempting to just not dress players to get a higher pick, but it also skews the standings when higher teams get to feast on Chompsey's Big Richard (see what I did there ).
So it would be appreciated if you would try to set your lineup when you're able, just to keep things competitive. |

I'm all for having a regular poster here as one of the replacement owners in the pool. |

Hate to burst the happy bubble but I think just about everyone is writing off TO to nose-dive the rest of the way. Did you see this graph I posted earlier?

Haven't heard from Booner. We don't chat much.
But I assumed he was done considering he's been absent from pretty much day one.
I want to make sure there's another team folding before I give away a team, because I really think we need to cut to 18, so I don't want to be stuck at 19.
I guess we could find someone to take both teams, but I know a few of the bottom feeders were banking on picking a few players off the folded teams. - Fosco
I picked up a 1st with that thought in mind. My suggestion is that those 2 teams are folded and any other owner who doesn't want to continue, or doesn't participate enough gets replaced. |

I want a better pick too, but I've at least had the courtesy of setting my lineup daily, even against a guy who hasn't in a week and a half. |

We'll figure out a way to make them available.
I've always done informal drafts in other pools (smaller pools) after the first season, where I lock the FA list and start a message where people post who they want to add/drop according to draft order, and I manually make the change.
It takes a while and causes more work for me, but if I can't customize an actual draft that will work, I'll just do it that way. |

Well, what I was thinking is that you invite Alex and the guy you know to take over for Booner and GS. Give DP and CCGH a heads up via PM that they need to set their lineups a little more often or they might have to give up their teams after this year...if they don't then fold them but if they do then we're set. This way at least this season people won't be getting cheap wins and Alex and the guy you know can take over the teams a year early and get a early start on rebuilding. |

Hey - I was busy today!
- Picked up a new Shimano Calcutta reel for Steelhead fishing, had to fill it with line and fit it on a new Fenwick HMX rod.
- Traded a new blue MR3 Islander Reel for a pink one, wife wanted it.
- Changed out my halibut reels over to shorter rods and put the Shimano Technium's up for sale.
I spent three hours in the garage messing around with my fishing gear, it was awesome! - LeftCoaster
That's cool. I just meant you were actually thinking about it cause it wasn't an awful offer. Even though you turned it down! |

I'll definitely keep you in mind.
I'm going to try to contact the question-mark managers tonight, and see what's up.
My buddy will probably be willing to let you have the team if there's only one available—he's in other pools and only offered when I mentioned there was a couple absentee managers.
You were also originally supposed to have a team, so I think it's fair that you get one if you want to participate again. |

Just need to find out the intentions of the guys that don't check the pool and HB as often. |

Half the season's gone by without these guys editing their lineups, so it's the same for everyone if the rest of the season goes by the same. You could actually argue it's less fair to have their lineups start being set now!
If we're punting 2 teams this is the easiest way. Notify the rest that if they don't participate (or if they purposely tank by benching players who are playing...) they'll be replaced as you have a couple guys looking to join. |
